  1. I am about to head out on the Eclipse in a week and wonder if they do any dining specials for LPC? We would love to try it but with the mixed reviews, it's a bit steep at $110 for a couple. I know the other two have first night discounts, but not LPC. Perhaps only once we get onboard?

    TIA 🙂 Getting excited!

  2. Hey Great news! I just wanted to give you guys the update, after a bunch of pleading, they put me through to the right person who was able to help me. And its all changed! Everything is great and I am so grateful. I did have to shed a few tears before they would help me, they kept saying that the people who would do it weren't in today!!! I don't usually resort to tears but I was so frustrated after having already waited three days. Anyway, all's well that ends well. Thanks for you support and encouragement!!

  3. What do you mean that your "elderly father needs more space?" Is he handicapped in some way or on a scooter or wheelchair? If so, then all you need to do is call Airmiles and request a handicapped accessible cabin for him. These cabins are always larger and will have room for this sort of equipment, plus a larger bathroom. Airmiles may be able to change your cabin to a handicap accessible one without changing the price or category.

Yes he does have a walker, but there were no handicap cabins available, either when I booked or now. But the other cat I am hoping for is a family room which would work better. I really hope they will understand and let us move. It's their 50th anniversary and I am pretty sure this is one of his last trips. I have called Celeb and they have the cabin on hold until Tuesday when I will try to get through to airmiles and plead my case.

  4. I am in desperate need of help here. I booked a cruise using Airmiles (Canadian loyalty points) and now I am trying to upgrade my cabin (of course I would pay the difference), because my elderly father needs more space. On the email it says "no changes"....we are not even in final payment yet as the cruise isn't until end of May. Does anyone know if I can change the stateroom or category?

I have tried to get ahold of them and they are off for the next three days for Canadian holiday. I am super stressed about it all and really regret using them to book this cruise. They are really hard to get ahold of and make you wait on hold forever only to hang up.

I called Celebrity and they said they can't do anything since its not their booking.

Has anyone had any luck changing anything on the cruise booked with Airmiles.ca?

  5. Hi Crew!

I am about to book an Alaska cruise for my parents in May on the Noordam.

I am trying to decide between SC6175 and SB5191. I am aware the SC is handicap (my dad is handicap) but I also see that the wrap around balcony may be a special treat for them. Is it worth the $400 difference? In any case, I can tailor either room to his needs getting a raised toilet seat, shower seat, and with the extra space, he will have room to store his wheelchair.

So what I am asking, is does anyone have photos of these cabins or know the best place to find cabin photos?

There will be three of us in the room so I guess space is important. This is a once in a lifetime trip and I want it to be special for them.

    Thanks in advance,

    Carmella

  6. We just booked our rental car and used the Miami Airport. After the fact, we noticed that there is a Port of Miami location you can book. But it appears the price is different, a little higher. So the "free" shuttle is not actually free, is it. So then, will we be ok showing the shuttle driver our confirmation of the Miami Airport or will he turn us down?

  7. We just booked 12264 on the Divina in April.

We feel we somewhat lucked out getting an aft facing balcony room. They seem to be priced higher and higher categories on most other lines but this was the same as any other B2 on the ship.

Has anyone been in these rooms and have pictures? We were concerned that perhaps the balcony is much smaller than the others but are not sure if its the deck plans are accurate. Also, will we have any kind of privacy back there?

    Thanks in advance!

  8. Personally I would book Divina. It was great. The ship is fantastic. Then you have 3 different styles from 3 different cruise lines. Read the reviews recently on Divina they are really good. I would definately give them another chance. You didn't say what your issues were before so I cant comment if they have improved in those issues you had.

They have added more english speaking personal, and american type ammenities.

Mostly it was the staff and extreme hostility. I am sure it will be different due to the aim at grabbing some of the US market. I am going to give it a try. I really want to try 5 different ships in a row. The pics of the ship are beautiful.

  9. We have to make a decision by tomorrow. We are booked on the Epic the week after and RCCL Liberty the week before. I have gone on MSC in the Med and had a horrific time...I assume that was alot to do with the staffing and location. I only worry that two newish NCL ships in a row will be boring for the food menu, amenties (ice bar, slides), ect.

I would really value your opinion. They are both around the same price. I just need to know: Do I give MSC another chance or do I go for the brand new unknown which may be a repeat the week after.

    Tough life, I know.

    Thanks in advance.

We are past guests on both lines.

  11. My hubby wants to book a short cruise in April between NCL Epic and Disney Wonder. I am nervous about going on older ships and its been a long long time since I have tried Carnival. Anyone have any encouragement or advice about booking the Ecstasy? It looks like the port hole cabins are a great deal. Currently M18, 14, 10, 21 are all avail. Which is best? Or should we just splurge for a balcony?
