  1. We sailed on ventura on the 12th march 2019 for twelve nights, we booked to stay in the holiday inn the night before so 13 nights parking needed, my wife had NHS discount for the room so that went down to £71.20 from Around £85 but if we booked parking as well it would of been around £168 for the room and up to 15 nights parking, we booked the room separately and then booked the parking through yourparkingspace online and paid £65 for 13 nights a total of £136.20 so a saving of £32, we had to pay for a taxi to the mayflower terminal each way was £8 but still a saving and if you are sailing from city berth 101 you can just walk to it about 300 meters away

Why did you comment on it then bit hypocritical don't you think

  3. Think it's actually advertised in UK as 'all inclusive', not free. So defiantly an upsell even on the uk website

We definitely had a free Premium package each on our transatlantic to New Orleans on the Serenade in 2014, was really nice not having to think how much the bar bill would be. One thing that I am not happy with is Choice Air or Air To Sea as they now call it, the last two flights for return to the UK were made with no problem, I just looked at the flights available with our preferred airlines, first was BA Orlando to Manchester via Heathrow great price about £240 each and the second time Orlando direct to Manchester £235 each but we have just been told that we are now unable to book our flights with them anymore as its for American and Canadian customers only they quoted us £1033 each for AA direct from Philly to Manchester. We have just booked with Thomas cook direct from JFK to Man for £260 each thank god.

  4. just off the Serenade. It's a great ship with good service. Solarium pool was wonderful. But the food was awful IMO, I think they keep that a secret, so my tip to you is budget a few bucks to eat off the ship at some of the port stops.

I have sailed on Serenade and to tell someone to eat off the ship at the ports because the food is AWFUL is ridiculous, the food is very good considering they are catering for three thousand guests, there is such a selection of food that I would find it very difficult to find any day where there is nothing i liked.

The windjammer is excelent , such a variety, and the MDR always has plenty to choose from, I am sure you will enjoy your cruise and dining experience

  5. I think you miss the point. RCCL is a contractor. They book flights with the same airlines that anyone else books with. RCCL doesn't have any kind of magic method of selecting flights where nothing will go wrong. RCCL also doesn't allow people to fly in 24 hrs early... meaning that whatever does go wrong, which won't be RCCL's fault, will still cause extreme stress and potentially damage your vacation experience. Now if the plane is delayed (it happens) that won't be RCCL's fault. If you miss the boat, that wouldn't be RCCL's fault either. But what are the odds that you would miss the boat, if your plans put you at the port a full 24hrs before the ship leaves? Slim to none.

Most people like to hedge against calamity, especially when thousands of dollars or international vacations are concerned.

WE flew to Miami from London Heathrow with British Airways for a T/A, had a lovely weeks holiday before the cruise and then back to Southampton England on the Independance, we then took the Serenade from Barcelona to New Orleans T/A and flew back on Virgin Atlantic two weeks after arriving in Nola and traveling to Orlando for nice vacation, all flights were through choice air, airlines and times chosen by ourselves, half the price than booking direct with the airline and everything was fine. I would have no hesitation booking through them dont forget if there is a delay on that flight then there is a delay for all those who booked direct with the airline on the same flight, No Difference
