Hi Pichu21! I have a Canon Powershot ELPH 100 :)
Just bought the Canon Powershot ELPH 300 HS! :D

Chrystal, what camera do you have? I just recently bought a brand new camera and after playing with the features for a while, it seems like it has most of the features, if not all, of the ones you used in taking these pictures!

The photos of the Liberty next to the Jewel are absolutely incredible. They're beautiful. I've had the opportunity to see the Jewel quite a few times in port and up close she is one big ship! We're going on the Freedom in 30 days and I questioned many times just how big will she be, after cruising on the Oasis. These pictures speak for themselves. They're just astonishing. I'm thoroughly enjoying your photo review. I just love all of the pictures! :D
Did you have a chance to take pictures of the Jewel of the Seas up from the top decks of the Liberty? I'm hoping I get to see one of those in the next few posts. :)

Ahh, I had a bit of catching up to do, but it's all good now. ;) Great review, tons of pictures (which I love!). It's building up the excitement for the FOTS next month! :D

I'll tag along for the ride. ;)

Wow! Paula Abdul, Howie Mandel and Antonio Banderas, those are some people who I wouldn't mind bumping into! Or sharing an elevator. :D:D

Is the waterfall on the freedom too????
-
Ahh! I read the other much shorter version of this thread and found many great tips and secrets. Looks like I have a whole lot more reading to do!
-
Okay, let's not start with the tips. We all know exactly how it ends.

Great thread!!! One of my favorites!!! Keep the secrets coming!!!! :D Just one question..
Do they have the waterfall urinals on the Freedom of the Seas too???

Hi Everyone-
My husband and I just came off the Oasis of the Seas last week and we loved it. Last year we saild the Adventure of the Seas and loved that! Next year we want to try the Freedom and do the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. My only fear is that we will be disappointed after coming off the Oasis. We are very easy going, love Royal Caribbean, and usually go with the flow no matter what the situation.
I just want to make sure this ship will provide the same fun entertainment, activities, and wonderful pool side fun that the last 2 cruises provided us with.
We love laying by the pool during the day and then hanging out in the Royal Promenade at night before dinner. We do the 8:30 dining typically in the dining room and have loved our waiters thus far and ALL of our past dinners there.
What is your advice? Do you think we will find this ship just as impressive? Again, I know there is not a central park or Aqua Theatre on this ship, however, we are actually looking for something a bit smaller and picked this ship.
HELP! Just want to make sure we are making the right choice. :D
Freedom is the in-between from Voyager Class to Oasis Class. If you felt like the Oasis was just too big and the Adventure just slightly too small, then the Freedom would be a perfect choice.. We are doing the same, we got off the Oasis and can't wait to board the Freedom! We chose this ship because it was quite cheaper and just to try out something new and fresh. Freedom of the Seas is just like the Adventure, just a bit longer and with some little extras here and there like the Flowrider and H2O zone..

Both feature the RCI singers and dancers. Marquis is a review of numbers from famous Broadway musicals, but other than a nod to Phantom and maybe one other "recent" production, they are all from much, much older Broadway of a very similar nature. Think: 42nd Street, Cabaret, etc. They all just ran together for me! Nothing from Wicked, Momma Mia, Evita, Miss Saigon, or even Cats or Hair! So, it was OK, but I fell asleep. As for Once Upon a Time, it was more imaginative, using the storylines of famous farytales, like Rapunzel, Snow White, etc., but with the more current numbers from Broadway! So they did something from Hair (guess which fairy tale?), something from Wicked, and so on. It was much more entertaining, in my opinion. As for shows, though, DO NOT MISS the Ice Show! There, the imagination, effort and creativity really comes out, with professional skaters doing their best on a very small rink, and themes that came from all the things I wished were part of Marquis. That's my rundown, for what's it's worth, which is after all, just a matter of opinion. Have fun, no matter what! I had a blast and was glad to be there watching Marquis, Once Upon a Time and the Ice Show, instead of back home in the office!
Also, there was a comedian there, but I just saw a bit of his bit on the ship's TV only.
Dave
Thanks! That's the explanation I was looking for! :)

Could anyone give an overview of Once Upon A Time and Marquee? What are they about? And where are the comedy shows?
-
if the freedom moves i hope it stays close.. So what news is there on this project sunshine?
They have kept Project Sunshine top secret to the max. All I know is that it will be very similar to FOTS in size but will have a slightly larger passenger capacity and will set sail Spring 14'. Thats pretty much about it.

Hi all! Love reading this post! We sailed the Indy about 3 years ago and are waiting for 2013 summer dates for the Freedom. I heard from my travel agent that the Freedom may get moved from Port Canaveral. Anyone else heard this? We really enjoy sailing out of that port.
There have been many speculations regarding the Freedom and Monarch with the Project Sunshine ships coming in 2014 and the widening of Port Canaveral to accommodate larger ships and the new terminal being built to accommodate ships as large as Oasis Class. I don't know what they're planning, but I can't wait to find out! :D

We were told "hold on to it tightly",and "we're not responsiblefor it if you drop it".
It's a great ride! Enjoy.
Good enough for me! :D Thanks!

For anyone who has done Dragon's Breath Zip Line in Labadee, will they give you a hard time on video cameras? I'd like to get that moment on film and although I've seen videos on YouTube, has anyone been denied using a video camera or digital camera for that matter while riding the zip line?

OK, attached are two .pdf files with the Cruise Compass from our recent Eastern itinerary on the Freedom Of The Seas. The first one covers days 1 through 4, and the second one covers days 5 through 7. These just show the last two pages of each day's Compass (all of the schedule and open hours) since the rest of the Compass is either marketing or redundant. Sorry they are so rough; had to keep the file sizes down. Hope you enjoy your cruise on the Freedom Of The Seas as much as we did! I want to go back within a year or so.
Thank you so much! That's PERFECT! Just what I was looking for! Now my search can end. I've spent almost a month waiting and looking for these. Again, thank you so much! :):)

We just got off of FOS on Sunday. I have the Compass for each day. Can scan tomorrow. To keep file size down, I'll likely scan just the Daily Planner and the Daily Activities pages. That pretty much shows everything.
That would be so helpful! Thank you so much :)

Does anyone have the EASTERN cruise compass? That would be great, thanks! :)

Twelve hours!
Unnecessary :p

Attempt #1 at reading this entire thread. Currently on pg 35 and not even reading everything. I'm just skimming through and stopping at parts that could be helpful to me. It's quite a read!

I am completely in awe of how many features it has. It's by far the best digital I've ever had.
