  1. Just got off the Glory yesterday. We didn't buy booze because of the new rules. It was in the funtimes to pick up liquor in the piano bar from 6:30-9:30am.

Saw very few boxes of liquor when disembarking. No line at the liquor tables when getting back on the ship at port. In fact I never saw a single person turning in liquor at the tables all week which is unusual.

Most people we talked with said the new rule is stupid and they won't be buying until it's reversed.

  2. We were on this sailing too. We thought the CD was one of the worse we've had. We really enjoyed chatting with Nicole, one of the entertainment staff. Every night she would see us and stop to chat for 20 minutes.

We had read bad reviews but other then a bad dining staff was surprised by the friendly crew. We thought the ship was pretty clean too.

We had a great cruise and would cruise the Pride again if we had the chance.

  3. We just got off the Pride today and formal nights are the first sea day and Roatan. I was shocked by what they allowed in the dining room both casual and elegant evening. Basically as long as you aren't wearing a bathing suit and cover up you can come in and eat dinner.

We went to the Steakhouse Christmas Eve and wasn't impressed. The service was horrible and the food was not that great. We've had better meals at Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse. The flat iron and regular filet I had in the dining room was better. Our table mates went too and said the exact same thing that the food/service wasn't good. They even tried to get their money back ( we didn't) but Carnival refused.Others we talked with on the ship complained as well.

  4. Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let you know in the last two weeks I'm be lost 7.5 pounds. It's a start right! It's half of what I want to lose before my July cruise. I didn't have a lot of time to exercise this week and had several parties but tried to stay on plan. I'm a teacher and am now out for the summer so I have a plan of going to the YMCA every morning starting on Monday and working out.

  5. Welcome to the group. Good luck with both your goals . Where are you cruising in July? I well remember my first cruise 11 years ago ( to Alaska). I was hooked even before the ship left the dock in Vancouver.

    Ciao,

    Nikki

I'm cruising twice in July. One with my girlfriends to grand Cayman and Cozumel and one later in the month with my husband to grand Turk, Dominican republic, Curacao, and Aruba. They will be my sixth and seventh cruise overall. I love cruising and waking up in a different place almost everyday.

I'm finding weekends to be hard because all my friends want to go out to eat and I want to eat everything like they are. I think I did pretty well last night. Stayed within my points and brought most of my dinner home . We'll see how tonight goes.

  6. Hi everyone!

Just joined weight watchers online. I have never done WW before so am interested in how I will do. So far it seems to be OK. Counting points seems to be fairly easy with all the mobile stuff.

I gained a lot from a thyroid problem and am hoping to get back to where I was two years ago.

Would like to lose about 15 pounds before my first cruise in July and 60 pounds overall.

Thanks in advance for helping me stayed motivated!:D
