Is the Diamond event on the Explorer being held in the VCL?
Is it true that you now can order from the regular Diamond Club menu? so also whiskey, rum, vodka etc?
We just came off the Explorer last week and the Diamond Event was held in the card room on Deck 14 and you could get Diamond drinks not just wine and beer. I got a lemon drop.
The 19th hole was only for suite people. No one was in the Viking Crown Lounge.

Gwen, as far as I know he is staying with the ship........but that was last month. Who knows what will happen in the future.
Just off the Explorer yesterday and I agree Denzel is one of the best. We are going back on the Explorer in January and asked Denzel if we would see him then. Said he is getting off on January 18th but it might be extended.

We have stayed at both. If given a choice I would stay at the Marriott.
Better location, more things in walking distance eg. restaurants and shops. A much better beach.

Never again.
Noisy as the bed is against the outside wall. Sometimes people banged on the wall or knocked into the wall.
The only place for the chair is between the closet and the bathroom
Felt crowded..

Carol thanks for all the wonderful pictures since I didn't take any. I agree with you Ruth is such as sweetheart.
Our cabin 8044 did have a pole. Just at the foot of the bed not too annoying.
Glad you liked the Grandeur and for letting me be on your trivia team.I wish they would put the Grandeur in Boston so I could cut my time in half.Only took us 5 hours to drive home.

They automatically do it. I booked a cabin for my year old grandson and it was on the reservation without my having to request it.

I decorate my door and cabin. We usually leave around the first of December.

When we were in NYC for the Quantum reveal 2 men from the Port Authority sat next to me. Chuck and I talked with them and they told us about their plans for updating the port. A parking garage, new terminal and dredging so the ship can back up farther and no more shuttle buses. Yea! They said it would take a couple years but after reading the newpaper article it looks like they want it done by the time Quantum arrives.
Just wondering what they will charge for parking when it is done.

Sounds like I was really lucky to get the beach towels on our Allure cruise last week. I am disappointed in the new list as we really don't drink much wine and there isn't much else to choose from. Heard the terry wraps are nice. Wish they would add them to the other lists. It's going to take a couple years to get to 525.

I had 8586 on the Jewel and the balcony was great. 2 chairs and a lounger, however I booked 8086 for my next cruise. The balcony looks bigger. There is a recent thread about this balcony and they say it has 2 chairs and 2 loungers.
I hope this helps. I prefer deck 8 over deck 7.

i'm with you, need a room for November 7th and I've bid as high as 131 and nothing.
good luck

I am trying for a resort for Nov.7-8. I started at $100 and now I am at $130 and still no success. A few times I get the offer to increase my bid by $22 for a rebid. I usually wait a few days and try again, slowly increasing my offer.
I have the Comfort Suites as a back up.

Date: 1/26/2007
# of nights 1 (precruise)
Hotel:Marriott
Resort level (bid was 3 star)
Area: San Juan
Site:Priceline
Winning bid $95.00 ++= 110 x 2 rooms = $220.
We stayed here in May, again through Priceline and loved the hotel for precruise.
If RCI doesn't do what was promised, will they contact me?

This is what it says in Cruising Power under general promotional questions. Not only for new bookings.
10. Can guests who are currently booked choose to take advantage of this offer? Should current booked guests
opt to convert to this offer, the reservation would need to be cancelled and rebooked at prevailing fares during
the designated booking window to qualify
