1. Me, I personally love sea days. It's a forced relaxation day where you can do as little or as much as you would like to do. I love sleeping in, getting brunch, consuming alcohol, laying out by the pool and attending different events. What does your sea day look like?

2. What is an appropriate tip for various services?

-Bag Porters

-Bar Staff

-Pool side waiters

-Etc...

Dollar a drink/Bag?

How about other daily services on the ship?

I'm by far not cheap, but gratuity is included so all tips are icing on the cake right?

3. Rent a car at FLL and return it at MIA. A majority of the rental agencies will provide a free shuttle to the port from the airport if you rented from them. Same for the return, just show the driver your rental agreement they will drive you to the airport for free where you can pick up your car and drive it to FLL. Its a lot cheaper then a transfer service, especially if you have 2+ going.

4. I went the cheap route for our upcoming cruise and booked a inside cabin. I would like to upgrade to a balcony but your talking about a $500 difference. I have never received an upgrade call. Any one have success calling carnival and getting a reduced rate after you have been booked and fully paid for an upgrade?

5. This is the first time that I'm going on a cruise and F2F has already been sold out. I have heard that carnival does randomly release more before the actual cruise date. Does anyone have any success stories and any tips or tricks to get them? Thanks for the help!

6. The Room steward approached me and told me turn down service is now once a day, what would I prefer? Morning or evening. As for the cards I have always been able to get them free at guest services, not this time. They told me they were only available at the casino for $1. Trust me the dollar isn't a big deal, its just another small cut on the cruise that added up. And don't judge me because I was on a smaller ship. I have been on the Dream and Sunshine.

7. What is the point of being loyal, and keep cruising with Carnival? Over the past 10 years I have been on 8 cruises. The latest one being with the Ecstasy just last week. The multiple "small" cut backs have greatly added up compromising the cruise experience that they once had. From turn down service, to lobster and the smallest paying for a deck a cards that were once free at guest services. And now with F2F, you can buy the perks that a loyal customer receives. Why would one not go to a different cruise line and receive the quality vacation with the newest and greatest that carnival once provided? Has anyone else felt the same, and thinking of being done with Carnival?

8. Headed to Cozumel thru Carnival. We are arriving a little late, I believe 1pm. I really would like a nice beach spot with white sand, clear waters and a bar to relax at and fairly close to the port. Any suggestions?

9. I'm flying into Ft. Lauderdale two days before my cruise. I want to rent a car at the air port and return it by the port. What car rental company have you used in the past to return a car at the port of Miami and used their shuttle to the pier? Also same for the return back, looking to rent a car at the port and return it to the airport. looking for help and experiences with different rental companies.

10. On Tuesday November 4, 2014, my wife and I took part of the “Tequila Experience presented by Jose Cuervo” through Carnival Cruise Lines. I am writing to show how dissatisfied I am, and how I feel I was taken advantage of. We met a lady “Patty” at the end of the pier to check in and to escort us over to the Discover Park where the experience was held. We were met out front by a younger male, not dressed in any type of uniform just street clothes, holding a tray of margaritas served to us in a Styrofoam cup.
We were then taken into a room with Patty, who turned out to be our “Master Tequilier” as well, which I highly doubt she was. She did do a fair job on explaining the origin of tequila but that’s about it. While in the room we had 3 samples of tequila in front of us: Blanco, Reposado and an Anejo that were sitting on a placemat that was wrote completely in Spanish because they were out of the English ones. Patty explained different techniques on how to drink them and how to enjoy them.
After we were done sampling the three different types we were led into the gift shop. While in the gift shop we were shown an exclusive family reserve. In the booking details it said that we were going to sample that one as well, but once in the gift shop the only way to sample it was to pay $2.00 each for about a half ounce. On a side topic, in the gift shop that special reserve was about $189.00, the same exact bottle can be purchased at the duty free next to the pier for about $100 less.
The next part of Carnivals details states “A taco buffet with handmade tortillas and six exotic, 100 percent Mexican salsas awaits, capped by a lesson in making the best Margaritas by our Jose Cuervo® mixology expert. “. The taco buffet consisted of only 2 small tacos, rice and black beans. There was zero salsas available. The margarita was also produced by a man in street clothes behind the bar outside and didn’t explain a thing while he was making them.
For the $70 each I paid for this excursion and what I received back was very deceiving in the booking details. I would never suggest this excursion to any one traveling to Cozumel and suggest that Carnival Cruise Lines and Jose Cuervo look into this and correct it. Both companies have their name on the line and I doubt it would meet their expectations.
11. Flying into Tampa a day early. What is my best option? Should I rent a car at the airport drive to a hotel and drop car off at the rental site and use their shuttle to the port? Or what hotel can I book that has a shuttle from airport to hotel then following day shuttle to the port?
