Totally enjoying your review!!:p:cool:

When I go solo, I go to Lido........Salad is much better than dining room(like salad at dinner) and I found it much more relaxing. Lido usually has very good baked potatoes and they make good green beans. Lots of times I skip the meat, since I really don't eat too much. Anyways, enjoy and we will be on Horizon the end of Nov. Can't wait!

Just make surer the coves are not over the galley. Those cabins are quite noisy at night.

I have been on many, many Carnival cruises. I don't recall ever seeing bad behavior, just the usual drunks.
The last cruise on Paradise a few weeks ago, I saw much more security out and about. Not sure why this was, but it was a cruise to Cuba. All the passengers were very well behaved. It was a really nice crowd.

We are considering Majesty in NOV. I'm concerned about the beds since I have back issues. Are the bed newer? In good condition? What did you think?
Thanks

Considering taking the Majesty to Cuba in Nov. Has the Majesty had a refurb any time in the recent past? Have they changed the mattresses? The mattresses are an important factor to me since I have back issues.
Thanks

Yes, it is true, but you can cash out your sail and sign at anytime.

I just got off the Paradise and did the overnight in Cuba. Have been on Paradise 3 times since the dry dock. It is a really nice ship and I think you will really enjoy her. I probably shouldn't go here, but the CD Brandon was NG(no Good). I have sailed many many Carnival cruises, but this guy needs serious improvement.
Cuba was special. There is something about it that just grabs you. The people were all very nice despite there living conditions. You will see what I mean. I cannot wait to go back to Havana.
Have fun!!

Thanks for link to schedule. Appreciate it!

Does anyone know who the CD is on the Paradise? We will be on her 9/5.
Thanks

Appreciate your review, but do you have to call people "idiot customers bumbling through the options" because it is taking them a little bit to decide what to order? Really?

No, they never said what the noise was.

This was quite an eventful cruise. We have been on many cruises, all on the largest lines. Mostly, on Carnival and Holland America.
We booked an Oceanview cabin. After sail away our cabin had a very loud noise, It sounded like a grinding noise from the engine and it was constant. It was so loud that there was no way we could stay in that cabin. We had to go to guest services to tell them that there was such a loud noise that we would need a different cabin. I knew that there would be very few if any open cabins. After several hours and the guest services manager getting involved, we got a quiet inside cabin. The guest services manager took our situation seriously and made sure we had a different quiet cabin. We did get onboard credit to make up the difference in price and perks in the dining room.
Then, we had the very unfortunate situation with the man overboard. He did take his life. He was not discovered to be missing until the next morning. They came over the PA in our cabin about 8:15am and was called for many times. Then in the evening Leon, the CD told us the situation. It was so sad.
On a brighter note, Leon, our CD was awesome. He has been a CD for only 3 weeks, taking over for the the CD who left Carnival. Leon has a very bright future. He seems to have an enormous amount of energy, which you need for that job. He is only 28 years old. He had a Q and A and answered all the questions and he was very visible around the ship.
On the last night he put on a show in the atrium with sing, dancing and getting the audience very involved. If anyone has sailed with Mike Pack, Leon's show was very similar to the one Mike put on in the atrium. They both are top notch entertainers. Leon can sing and dance very well, so to watch him and watch the way he interacts with an audience was so much fun. He had us singing along, dancing along and just having an awesome time. He is definitely an asset to Carnival and is making the most of his opportunity and Carnival should be proud of him.
It rained quite a bit and all the excursions for Cozumel were cancelled. For sure, some were disappointed especially the kids. This is just a fact of life when you cruise. There were also some rough seas. If Bonine was not available, I would not be able to cruise. I do have a problem when seas get a bit rough, but for me, Bonine is like a miracle product. When it is rough and take Bonine, I do not have any problems with sea sickness. I tell everyone about Bonine and never sail without and it does not make you drowsy.
One night, at the Havana show it was so rough that the dancers could not dance on stage. To the performers credit, they did the singing part of the show, but not the dancing. It was still enjoyable. The Epic Rock show was very good.
The food was good. The pizza was very good. They still have the regular deli where they make the sandwiches as you order. I read that on some ships they were premade. I hope Carnival continue with the fresh sandwiches as they are really good. Guy's burger was as good as ever and the fries were even better than I remember. However they make those fries...........sooooo good and of course the burgers and all the fixings were delicious!
Overall, this cruise was great! Even though there were obstacles and a very sad situation the entire Carnival team did their best to make sure we had a wonderful cruise.
Finally, the casino was not kind to me, but the casino was very crowded almost the entire cruise. During dry dock they put in new slots that were lots of fun, so if you enjoy the casino, you will enjoy this one.
If anyone has questions, I will do my best to answer them.

Hi......
Very excited about our upcoming 10 day Panama Canal. We leave on Sunday. I am so looking forward to going thru the locks. I want to get a good view, so I'm planning on going to the bow. What time does the ship get to the locks? I heard that it is about 5:00am.
We are not planning on doing an excursion in Panama, so after going thru the locks, the ship turns around in the lake and then what?
Any other helpful hints when going thru the locks?
Thanks

Hi....
We are planning a cruise in November on the N.A. and considering an aft balcony.
If you have been on the N.A. in an aft balcony, which deck do you recommend for privacy and for being the quietest? I'm not sure if the N.A. has the staggered decks.
I would appreciate some info. from those who have been in these cabins.
Thanks in advance

Hi…….
Does the Emerald have room service breakfast? Haven't been on Princess for several years.
Carnival has the breakfast card for continental breakfast room service and was wondering if Princess has something similar.
Thanks

Hi………
Does anyone know if you can get tomato juice on board without it
being in an alcoholic beverage. Due to a medical condition I need to drink
tomato juice. Do they have it on the room service menu or the breakfast
menu?
If they do not can I bring it on board in the can?
I will be on the Ecstacy next week.
Thanks

I think you will be OK, but as someone mentioned.......Check daily for better cabin location to open up. That happens frequently due to cancellations.
