Very strange question, and I am not sure that anyone CC would even know the answer...
Why would there be sales taxes on excursions at CoCoCay?

Since the excursions occur from or in The Bahamas a sales tax is required under that county's laws.

Recently aboard the Mariner they came thru the Windjammer every day with 30% discounts for Specialty Restaurants .

On our 6 November Mariner voyage I went to Jamies on the next to last night to book a meal for the last night. The Manager told me they were offering a 20% discount ship wide. We had already used our C&A Bogos that cruise. Tupperny, If you don't see any being offered around the ship, just ask. Bon voyage!

ps, I lived in Penfield in 1990.

  3. We watch most of Ben and David's cruise videos. I was not surprised by this review. I believe they erred in not elevating their concerns to the Dining Room Manager. Their servers obviously were not experienced and should have been replaced or better supervised. Hopefully the HD is following up on this videos concerns!

Also their comments about the menus were absolutely right on. Nightly menus that barely reflect content with a majority of dishes in that theme! We too were surprised by this.

Just booked Mariner this afternoon for April 6. I see she's in dry dock until end of March, so we're the 2nd cruise after dry dock. Any idea what she's having done since she was already amplified? Wasn't able to find much online

We were on her recently and were told mostly Marine side stuff.

The ship is on relatively good shape except for the couches or loveseats in the cabins.  Many have frayed arms.  We recently sailed Jewel in  December and January  (4 cruises, all in different cabins)  and in every case the couches/loveseats were  torn or frayed

We are in 9578 on the Starboard hump and the cabin is in excellent condition. The couch has no wear or tear! She is one of our favorite ships.

Do these numbered luggage tags have assigned times to exit? That makes it difficult to book a reservation with a private shuttle company for pick up.

You will get a list of departure times based on luggage tags the night before you arrive at PC.

Recent cruises on Mariner we have tried to be near the last of since a family member picks us up. It is usually between 9 and 930.

OK, don't kill the messenger here, but the BIG doors going into the cabin areas are usually not locked.  I sometimes scoot in to grab my key, and then scoot out again.

Then, I go to the CL or DL, or SL.

We are on the current voyage and when we got to our cabin at opening the cards were not there. 5 minutes later the steward showed up with all the cards.
