  1. The only thing I can offer is the experience we had from St Catherine's Beach....

It is located on the (what I would call) main road route in that area and there will be taxis "passing" by. The day we were there the same taxi driver just kept circling knowing that there were people there and other places along this road route. (If you read my recent review from our day there in June, you'll see that he circled several times while another family was waiting at the bus stop for the HOHO bus for over and hour and on the last round he offered to take them back into town...for free. He also offered to circle back around to get us if we were still waiting when he returned).

So...I don't know if this is the "norm" for them to just circle around and around.

A suggestion could be that Achilles Bay is right next door and you could go over there (there's a bar at the beach and a huge building with a restaurant and pool tables and restrooms) and have someone call for you.

Also, like it has been mentioned, you could walk over to Tobacco Bay and grab a cab there. We seen cabs back and forth there all day the day we were there. Plus, they also have a bar/restaurant that could call for you.

I haven't been to St Davids area yet, so can't offer advice on that but hope to find out myself this October. :)

    Thank you!

  2. How long would it take to walk from Warwick to Horseshoe? We are thinking of taking the bus to Warwick to spend a few hours snorkeling and enjoying the beach there and then walking to horseshoe to experience that beach scene before taking the bus back to the ship. Any idea where snorkeling would be the best in that area?

  3. It is about 2 minutes walk from the ferry to the town square, 15 minutes from the town square to Tobacco Bay. A taxi will cost about $10 total to Tobacco Bay.

From Tobacco Bay it is about a 6 or 7 minute walk to St. Catherine.

Thank you so much for the info!

  4. I have to disagree with you on saying it's just soda. It's not, if they told you that they lied. Or are you just assuming? I just got off allure of the seas in November 2013. Both my mother and myself had the rita package with Alcoholic beverages included, however my younger sister (18) got the $10 package. She was able to get 3 drinks . For her first 2 drinks she got a virgin strawberry daiquiri, and the other was some virgin pomegranate Margarita. Her last drink she just wanted a sprite. You can get the frozen drinks just non alcoholic. Its NOT just soda.

Thank you so much. That is what I was hoping for!

  5. We enjoyed our Boardwalk balcony 9315. We were in perfect position for the Aqua Theater and enjoyed the shows and practices. Yes, we could sea into cabins across the way, if we wanted to, and they could sea us. But who wants to do that? Spend big bucks to watch your neighbor read the Compass while sitting on his bed?

The noise was not really that bad. The balcony windows and door were very thick.

Were the beds closer to the balcony or the closet?
