  1. It's been about a year since I last saw Cranston; at that time he was in Michael's Club on Silhouette...
  2. Edge publishes the daily... It's still provided nightly at turn-down...
  3. While I don't know the answer to your specific question, I will add this for your potential consideration... If I understand correctly, you are booked in a Celebrity Suite... If your daughter were to share that room with you, she would be eligible to enjoy the suite amenities offered on your unspecified ship [most notable are dining in Luminae, access to Michael's Club/The Retreat, and--depending upon ship/sailing date--access to the new Retreat Sundeck]… If your daughter were to stay in an inside cabin instead [likely at a 100% solo supplement], those suite amenities would not generally be available to her... It is my understanding that your daughter could--by arrangement with the Luminae Maitre 'D--join you as your guest for dining in Luminae [as opposed to the Main Dining Room] at an upcharge [last I read, the surcharge is $10 per breakfast, $20 per lunch, $30 per dinner]... But one can't "buy in" to access Michael's Club/The Retreat and--if available on your ship on your sailing date--the Retreat Sundeck... Perks--whether included in the cruise fare or available for a la carte purchase in either case--are not the same as suite amenities...
  4. I live nine miles from the port in Broward County and cruise in/out of there frequently... The Port Everglades cruise ship terminal assignments have never--best I can recall--been published more than a few weeks in advance to assure relative reliability of posted information... And even then, terminal assignments can change on a relatively last minute basis should unplanned maintenance be required of direct--or perhaps adjacent--waterways, docks or terminals... It's only happened once but I've done a cruise that left from one terminal and, until announced aboard during the trip, unexpectedly returned to another... Yes, shuttles were provided to return guests/their luggage to the parking deck used prior to embarkation.
  5. Likely, Terminal 25 at Port Everglades...
  6. Can only guess but the Hot Glass facility [as successor to the former Corning Hot Glass Show] is only available on Solstice, Equinox, and Eclipse,
  7. With respect, I'm not sure anyone here can accurately answer your question... Are you playing tables or slots? If slots, are you playing traditional "reel-type" machines [video or mechanical] or video poker [it matters]… What is your average bet? How fast do you play? Fully or partially comped? Suggest that you contact Celebrity's Blue Chip Club to discuss your play habits and get a sense of what they may offer under the scenario you describe...
  8. They do try... Week after week I get a deluge of Oceania and Regent--sister companies; I haven't cruised with either-- brochures too... And no matter how many calls I have made to both in an attempt to stop the insanity, my repeated requests have not been honored... Since neither seems to respect the wishes of a highly-traveled prospective guest, neither seems to care about maximizing the potential of their advertising spend, and neither has displayed an ounce of ability to manage something so simple as a mailing list--I've tried all angles--I long ago decided that they'll never get my business... Their mail goes straight to the trash...
  9. Or look at Cruise Critic's parent company, TripAdvisor... Abundant reviews/ratings and a link to each tour operator's website... Somewhat different concept but you might also consider looking at the Tours By Locals website....
  10. Following is a link to a thread that addresses the Concierge Class lunch on embarkation day... Yes, it was started quite some time ago but it resurfaces periodically--in this case, as recently as this past Saturday--and the related logistics [11:30 AM until 1:00 PM in a section of the Main Dining Room] and fixed menu are the same across the fleet/really haven't changed... Most recently, I did the Concierge Class lunch--for the fifth or sixth time--when I boarded Reflection on 29 November... It's a very nice--no hassles, comparatively quiet, uncrowded--way to start a cruise...
  11. All of the AquaClass cabins on Edge feature the infinite verandah...
  12. Best I know, Holland America is the only cruise line that allegedly--I have no first-hand experience--has a priest aboard on every sailing...
  13. Assuming that you have some time before your sailing date--I want to say that Celebrity cuts off issuance of mailed luggage tags several weeks before--yes, you can reorder...
  14. If you have purchased your airline tickets via Flights By Celebrity, it is not uncommon for e-doc issuance to lag by several weeks. With the way airline schedules/flight numbers change [and may yet change; you should do a final confirmation just before traveling], Celebrity attempts to provide the most up-to-date flight information in the e-docs while still providing information that is as timely as possible... If you have not purchased air via Flights By Celebrity, I agree that--with 34 days until boarding the ship--a call to Captain's Club may well be in order...
  15. I understand that... Completing online check-in and printing your boarding passes are not contingent upon issuance of your electronic cruise documents; all one need do to perform those functions is to have made final payment... Securing luggage tags--either by online order or by printing them yourself--is contingent upon issuance of the e-docs [in fact, your luggage tags will be included in your e-docs if you choose to print them yourself]... With about 500 days aboard Celebrity since 2009, I assure you that my advice is sound... Try again late next week; you are too early given your embarkation date [57 days from tomorrow].
  16. For those in The United States and Canada, luggage tags are still available for online order and mailing to your home... That said, the online link to order them is not available until your e-docs are issued; that typically happens 49 days [7 weeks] prior to your sailing date [and sometimes, a bit less]... By my quick estimate, you're a bit early as the boarding date for you cruise is a bit more than eight weeks out....
  17. RFID SeaPass Card; tap door lock to open...
  18. If departing tomorrow, it appears that Infinity has indeed been assigned to Terminal G... https://www8.miamidade.gov/Apps/Seaport/dailydock/SSRSReportDock.aspx
  19. Typically Celebrity uses Terminal G at PortMiami but, for a variety of reasons, assignment could differ... Plenty of clear signage as one enters the port...
  20. The confusion may stem from the fact that while Reflection has not yet been revolutionized the ship does use the mobile app, the streamlined check-in process, and RFID SeaPass cards that are typically introduced once a ship has been revolutionized... Reflection and Constellation were the test ships for introduction of those new technologies/processes in preparation for the introduction of Edge and staged implementation across the rest of the fleet but the further ability to retrieve one's SeaPass card and to drop-off hand luggage at one's stateroom on boarding--as some expected in anticipation of full functionality---have not yet been implemented aboard the two test ships... I cruised aboard Reflection from 29 November until 9 December... RFID SeaPass cards were distributed upon check-in at the terminal... Staterooms were not available for immediate hand baggage drop-off upon boarding... Rather, the conventional practice of announcing that rooms were available for occupancy occurred shortly after 1:00 PM... The mobile app was fully functional once aboard ship... Edge and the other revolutionized ships using Terminal 25 at Port Everglades typically use a facial recognition system upon disembarkation for purposes of clearing Customs/Immigration... That system was not used when I disembarked on 9 December but don't know if the need to see an agent relates to all returning cruises on Reflection--for now--of if instead related to an operational decision that day... Enjoy Reflection... I had a great time...
  21. You are correct that your daughter may attend the cocktail hour and morning coffee break by virtue of sharing a room with you as an Elite Captain’s Club member... That said she will not be entitled to things like the complimentary laundry or internet allowances for which you are eligible by virtue of your loyalty...
  22. Took a taxi from FLL to Port Everglades on 29 November and from Port Everglades to FLL on 9 December... Without gratuity, taxi is metered with a current minimum charge of $16...
