  1. Yes we were able to use the pool. I forgot how much the tour cost from Princess. It included a towel, a beach chair, punch and a delicious lunch. Don't know if we should get a day pass or just rent chair. Now that I think of it since we don't plan to use the pool there is no benefit to the plan except the two beverages probably punch. I guess we could bring something from the ship or buy something at the hotel bar.

  2. This was not real fancy but was nice. The beach had some rocks but you were able to walk around them. I wear beach shoes. All kinds of fish can be seen in shallow water. No need to snorkel. The pool was nice, there was a bar. They included a towel and beach chair.

    The barbeque was delicious.

  3. No complaints??? We took the Royal Princess transatlantic. Nothing worked in the Enclave. The hot tub was a cold tub, the showers didn't work the way they were supposed to, the stone beds were not heated. I complained everyday. Charlotte the manager was indifferent and rude. On the last day of the cruise I was in the cold tub and they came around with people that were doing a Back to back. She was giving them the whole phony talk when I said (I guess too loudly) "they lie". After they left someone came in and told me the manager wanted to talk to me. She kicked me an d my husband out of the Enclave. She refunded our money. It was our last day so it worked out for us. When I returned home I wrote a long letter. The only thing they said was that Princess didn't manage the spa and they were glad I got my money back.

There is no way there were no complaints.

I am going on the Regal Princess soon and I will take the tour when we board. I will not let them lie to me. I will go up to the b eds and feel them!!!!!!

  4. Does the Plaza Hotel still offer a day beach pass with lunch included?

We went on it a few years ago and the lunch was great! I don't see it offered by Princess anymore.

What if we got a Cruise Critic group to go?

  5. We were given a free dinner for two on the Coral Princess in May. It was scheduled to be in Sabitini's. We've been there before and didn't like it. I was going to try to change it to another restaurant. We went to Sabitini's and they had a big sign posted outside of the restaurant showing a big pot with king crab legs, clams, shrimp and lobster, with Sabitini's written underneath. So I decided to go to that restaurant. We went and tried to order the crab leg dish on the sign. They said that is served at the Crab Shack. I said okay get it from them and serve it to me. They said NO. Why is the sign in front of the restaurant. The meal we had was very bad. Nothing different from the regular menu certainly not worth the upcharge. On the first day of the cruise they gave us a list of the days the Crab Shack would be offered. I made a reservation on the 3rd day which was a formal day. This was the day we were at Glacier Bay so we were out of the cabin most of the day. When we came back to the cabin to get ready for dinner there was a message waiting for us. Someone from reservations said there was a misprint and there was no Crab Shack that night that we could call them and they could arrange for us to go to Sabitini's. I called them to ask how a reservation could have been made for something doesn't exist and why did you wait till the day of the reservation to tell us. They could only say that they never have the Crab Shack on formal nights and we should just go to the dining room and have some nice lobster. So I wouldn't bother with Sabitini's and make a reservation at the Crab Shack if you like King Crab legs and other seafood. BUT make sure you check to make sure there is really a Crab Shack that night.

If they ever print my review (not good) there is a photo of the sign in front of Sabitini's.

  6. We were also on this cruise. It is funny how opinions about the same thing can vary so much. We didn't find that we waited for anything. We were on anytime dining and needed a table for 3 and never had to wait more than 5 minutes.

I agree with the length of the time in port there wasn't time to do much more than go look at the dumb shops right at the port area. A waste!

They weren't bad with the hand sanitizer. Other cruise lines had it at all the dining rooms too. If anything can help prevent me from getting the dreaded novo virus I'm for it.

As for the food it was far superior than NCCL on the Epic. On the Epic we even had to pay extra for the shows.

I too am confused. What nightly buffet? The buffet is in the Horizon Court or the Caribe Café. We had a very nice dinner there one night. It was very quiet and relaxing.
