Rick Sullivan will be boarding the Oasis 10/1. After the handover he will be there for one contract.

This is to acquaint him with the class before he goes to the Symphony

Was looking forward to Captain Sullivan on Oasis next week. Oh well, will still be great cruise.

  2.

Ship - Brilliance of the Seas

    Deck - 9

    Stateroom # - 9260

Stateroom Category – D2 Superior Ocean View Strm w/Bal

Starboard or Port Side - Aft

    Sailed - Nov 2012

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Was woke up every morning at 6:30 by slamming balcony door from cabin next door. This has never happended in other balcony staterooms. Could feel vibrations. Seas were either rough or ship not using stabilizers, could really feel in this cabin.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - no

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Aft view no obstructions, partially covered

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Large balcony, 2 chairs, 2 loungers, small table

Was wind a problem? - no, actually got pretty warm when sun on balcony due to lack of breeze.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - not that I noticed

Any specific problems with this cabin? - LONG, LONG walk to cabin

Any other comments? While we enjoyed the larger balcony, would only stay in aft again if price is right. I can sit and read a book anywhere. Room standard. Didn't notice any wear. Clean. Balcony did have adequate drainage when it did rain, so no problem with puddles.

RCCL should have a water station halfway down the hall for folks in these aft cabins :p

  3. Hi, just back from taking this tour during our stop in St. Lucia week of 11-10. Cosol himself was our guide. We did a "custom" tour.

Depending on the amount of folks in your group, he will take you pretty much where you want to go. We had total of 8. Just sent him an email, with what you would like and the amount of people, he is really prompt at replying and great to work with.

If you need extra folks for a tour, you can always check the meet and mingle boards for your sailing to see if anyone else would be interested.
