  1. Hi folks

New to MSC.  I'm worried about a bed big enough for my tall teenage son.  Can anyone advise what bed is in a B2 balcony fantastica cabin on Seaview with one triangle on the deck plan? It just says sofa bed.  TA telling me it's a bunk bed. Just wondering how long it is! Would have liked a cabin with double sofa bed but none left.

    Thanks.

  2. Thanks folks, have signed up for offers.

Apparently, £99 flight offer just finished and it was only on selected cruises, so that that.

Current offer is $50 obc each for 1 & 2 passenger.

Is that rubbish, should I wait? What do folk normally get?

  3. Hi

Cruised for many years and considering NCL for first time.  And I am looking for some advice on offers. Aware of the RCI offers and know they all work out in the long run about the same, sort of!

The current offer seems to be OBC and low booking deposit. Do NCL do other offers? Free / cheap flights?

Also, being a UK booker, I take it it's a fare for either all inclusive (drinks, tips, wifi) or cruise only with no extras.

Sorry, for being thick, just confused by comments about selecting 3 or 5 options to build a package. Also confused about bidding, are these just USA?

Be very grateful of any advice. Looking at October school hols so don't think there's a major rush to book.

  4. Ok, so we are going on Vision.

When I looked at reviews of the ship before booking, including Cruise Critic's, they all mention activities 'sports court, jogging track, climbing wall on deck 10'. I stupidly didn't look at deck plans.

Getting closer to sailing and I am looking at the ship and I can't see it!

This is not good. Teenagers, a smaller ship and no sports court?

I can hear the moaning already .....

  5. Thanks folks. I am sure I read about a desk at the terminal and that makes sense to grab folk while they are waiting.

I know I would be paying in pounds online and dollars at the ship and to be honest this did put me off initially as the online price never seemed to reflect exchange rate improvements!?! Anyway, that's not a decision I have to make now. No OBC, no free drinks for us, the penalties for booking mega early .

  6. I have been trying to pre purchase the drinks package for ages online but it wouldn't let me ' add to cart'. I had forgotten all about it, getting ready to cruise on Monday and now it says I can't buy it as only 4 days until we cruise. Oh well.

I am sure I read that we can buy it prior to boarding at Southampton. Anyone done this and where? Is there a desk? I've read there are big queues on board to buy.

    Thank you!

  7. I think a lot of folk will be sick at the 'all inclusive' offer (as called by the Direct Sales and Service Specialist at RCL cruises) who thought they were doing the right thing by booking early. We booked early for no other reason than we like to book early. I don't care where my cabin is or the ports of call now as we've been to most. We asked our agent to check if we could take advantage of the offer and were happy to pay the extra price now ( around £550). The answer was no. We just wanted to be treated in an equitable position to a new booking. Reasonable - no. We would need to lose our £600 deposit and rebook. So that's not a sensible option. It would just have been nice as a family with young children to know what our total holiday cost would be!

If the offer were next summer nearer our cruise time I would not be bothered and just think last minute bookers were lucky, but so far in advance ... Other cruise lines do care and honour offers in the uk!

Well, they've lost our future business, only booked with them as kids like the bigger ships!
