  1. I guessed what I did because the triangle was on each cabin with a wider curve at the end. So, each cabin with a + holds 4, that's a potential of being surrounded by 8 people, right?

Correct, each cabin with a + can hold 4 people. Every cabin has the ability to hold three because of the sofa. If you look on the deck plans there are many areas where there are rows and rows of just triangles with no + anywhere.

  2. I see people want to know bed placement. If my assumption is right, go to drag it decks, if there's a triangle on the room, the bed is by the window. If it's by the door there's a + sign.

This is not the way to tell. There are plenty of rooms where this does not hold true. The triangle simply show what rooms can have a third person and the plus shows a room that accommodates four.

  3. Hi, hope it's not being to cheeky but I have 2 cabins booked 14048 and 14063! Could I ask you were they are:-()

14048, bed is by the door:

14063, bed is by the balcony:

Oh boy! I am in 12164 could you help me with the location and bed placement for that cabin?

Thanks in advance, it's very good of you to help with all these cabins:)

12164 has the bed by the balcony, but the balcony next to you sticks out fairly far and will allow your neighbors to have a clear view of your balcony.

  4. Would it be possible to see where 9067 is??

    THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

9067 over looks open balconies & has the bed by the balcony.

    You are amazing.

I'm staying in room 10245 and from reading this thread I think this is a deep covered balcony with the bed by the balcony. Am I right a out this?

Also, is being deeper in a bad thing?

    Thanks

10245 does have the bed by the balcony. The cabin does sit back from the "Bump out" cabins and because of this you will be able to look down onto open balconies below.

    Hi,

We've booked cabin 12071- it looks like the balcony is big- any pictures of location would be appreciated. Thank you for all your work-

    Vacays

12071 has a very large balcony and has the bed by the balcony.

  5. Hey Superman! Thanks for all of the info!

You posted 9024 is right next to 9020. Is there no 2022?

    Thanks!!!

    Cruiselover

Yes, there is a 9022, but it is an interior cabin.

Can I have a cool pic of mine, please? Pretty please. 12103

12103 has a slightly bigger deck than normal rooms, your bed is by the balcony and you overlook open balconies below.

    25ku446.jpg

Any feedback/pics on room 11292 - good/bad? Enclosed or not? Type of view? Thanks!

11292 is fully covered, the bed is near the balcony, & you overlook open balconies below. I don't have a clear shot of 11292, but I do have a view of 11291 which is in the same spot but on the other side.

  6. This is great based on your picture here I moved up from 12165 (B6 cat) to 13145 (B4 cat). Balcony is exactly same size as a B6 . This change in deck from 12 to 13 has now saved me an additional $80.00 of our original cruise price but I also was able to rebook with this new cabin # and received a $200 OBC and a bottle of vino for me :D

Am I correct that 13145 is just below 14107?

    Way to go for you!!!!

You are correct, 13145 is the cabin directly below 14107 in the picture. It has the exact same layout and balcony size as 12165. Congratz.

  7. This a great thread...thanks for all the info. I have cabin 10189 booked, which I am pretty sure is covered but it overlooks the lifeboats, correct? How much do the lifeboats obstruct your view when looking down?

    Yes, 10189 is covered:

    2hwcl03.jpg

You will be overlooking the end of the lifeboat row so the lifeboats won't completely block the view straight down.

Here is an example looking down on some life boats (You won't have the open balconies to look at), credit goes to sdmike for the picture:

  8. OK, I'm loving this thread and because of this thread, my daughter talked me into switching from large balcony 10201 to large balcony 9020. If I figured it out right, 9020 is the first unsheltered balcony. Can anyone verify? If not, my daughter will be in deep poop...unless I can go back to 10201. :D

Cabin 9020 is fully covered and has part of the steel hull on one side of the balcony:

    11v5it1.jpg

90244, which is next door has a small portion of the balcony uncovered & 9026 the next one down has about half the balcony uncovered.

  9. I have Handicapped balcony #9268. Can't figure out if its covered our not and where the bed is located. Any help for me?

    Thanks in advance..........

    Carol:cool:

9268 is partially covered, but about half is uncovered.

The bed location is a bit tricky in the Handicapped rooms because they don't have they "wave" walls.

I think your room is a a mirror of this layout:

    fe2o7d.jpg

and here are some other pictures for information:

  10. I have three rooms booked mid ship on the epic Sept 30th 2012 sailing. Can anyone tell me if the extra square footage is worth the upgrade from standard balcony and also if my rooms are covered/sheltered???

Room #'s are (Cat BB) 10116/10112/10120

    With thanks:)

All those are covered and you would be looking down on open balconies, rooms 10116 & 10120 are category BB Mid-Ship Balcony. 10120 has a standard size balcony & 10116 only has a slightly larger balcony.

10112 is category B6 Large Balcony and does have a larger balcony than normal rooms.

Also, none of these rooms are connecting rooms if that matters at all.

    2a85b9s.jpg

    r8856h.jpg

If you are being charged extra for each balcony then its not worth it because only one is actually considered a large balcony, but if you are only paying extra for the one balcony than I would say this is a nice grouping of cabins, if you don't mind looking down on open balconies.

  11. Sgt Superman,

Thanks very much! Just a few follow ups. This is gonna be our first NCl cruise and I am so confused. Is there any benefit to have the bed by the door? I can see covered balconies provide better privacy. Any other benefits? I am a bit sensitive to smoke. Is one deck better than another? Thank you.

    Valerie

Most people prefer to have the bed near the balcony because the layout is more useful. However, I would not let the orientation of the bed be what drives the room choice. Find a room that has the view and location you like, then worry about if you can get the bed near the balcony.

From what I have read smoking is allowed in the cabins and balconies, and no deck is better than the other for non-smokers. You just have to hope your neighbor is not a smoker so you can actually enjoy your balcony.

  12. Hi all,

I am debating among 8208, 10051,10052,and 10056. Can anyone help? Thank you.

    valerie

8208 - The bed is by the door, the balcony is covered & you would have no lifeboats blocking your view. This room is probably the best choice because of the view.

10051 - The bed is by the door, the balcony is covered and you over look open balconies on deck 8.

10052 - Same as above except the bed is by the balcony.

    10056 - Same as 10051

  13. Thoughts on location and bed sofa configuration for these 2 balcony cabins.

    Thank you.

From the looks of it 14090 is a bit tricky to get to. When you start at the forward elevators you would need to walk down the Starboard side until you reach cabin 1093 and then take the hallway to the Port side. This hallway ZigZags for a bit until you reach 14090 almost at the end.

This potential could be a quiet corridor since only a small number of people would need to use the corridor, but on the other hand you would be right next to the Kids Club area.

    2m29lp0.jpg

13145 looks like the better choice, it has a large balcony and is simple to get to.

  14. Hi I have booked 12168 is the balcony covered ? I understand it is a large balcony. I believe the bed would be at the door is this correct? If it is any idea of a room with the bed at the balcony in the same B6 category? Sorry I know lots of questions:)

Yes, the balcony is covered and the bed is at the door.

12165, 12188 are both the same type and have the bed near the balcony.

    Here is 12168:

    wi6b88.jpg

  15. I can't find any info on this cabin. I guess I didn't realize the ins and outs of all the balconies on this particular ship. I am concerned about our choice of this B6 cabin. It is at the start of the angle...is it exposed from above and does it look over an open balcony directly below? Thanks for any help.

11096 is not an open balcony, but because it is one of the ones on the angle you will have a sliver of an open balcony directly below you. You will also be able to see open balconies below you to your left.

    15mh99e.jpg

The large benefit to having a room on one of the angles is the huge balcony you get:

    30wow8j.jpg

I think you'll love it. Make sure to ask your room steward for some lounge chairs for your balcony.
