Can anyone recommend a hotel about halfway between the 2? Clean and priced right? Optimally I'd love to find a hotel that would pick us up at MIA in a free shuttle and then have the hotel offer a free shuttle to the FL port the next day. Thanks for your help.

The Betty's Place at West Miami may suit your needs, excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. They do pick you up from Miami airport but not certain about to the port as that is an hour or more travelling time.

Finding it difficult to source reasonable transport from Miami West to FLL cruise terminal, any suggestions out there would be wonderful.

Our cruise stops at Colon which is perfect to visit Embera Village but I believe there are other wharves as well, I believe Mario is very good as is Garceth Cunampio Tocamo, Trip Advisor gives both these companies very good reviews.
