  1. My family and I will be traveling on the Summit in August. This is our first time on Celebrity. There will be 9 of us total.

Does anyone know if we will be able to all sit at the same table? We all have anytime dining (Not sure if that is the right name for Celebrity). I know all of us will not be together every night but on the nights that we are it would be nice.

  2. My family and I just booked a cruise for August. The TA told us we have 3 weeks to book trip insurance. Why is there a deadline? What happens if I go past 3 weeks? Can I not get it?

Also I started to look up prices. Wow have they gone up. My BF and I went on a 9 day cruise this past September and it was $90 for both of us. Now I am getting prices like $140 for 7 days. Anyone know why the price jump?

  3. I am looking to book a cruise to Bermuda in August on the Summit. (1st time on Celebrity) and I would like to have my balcony overlooking the island. Can anyone tell me which side the ship will dock? From some of the other reviews it looks like they dock port side because the Breakaway is also there at the same time. Any help would be appreciated!

  4. It was dark on both sides when we set all August 28. Was planning on being on starboard to view the teardrop memorial as we sailed out. The statue of liberty is on port side so be there if you prefer that view.

I'd like to see the Teardrop Memorial also. Will I be able to see it once we leave port? I'm not sure exactly where it is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  5. I am ok on the directions getting to the Port but I am looking to print out directions home. I am coming from the Philadelphia area so I will be taking the NJ Turnpike Exit 14A to Rt. 440. Thank you 138East!

My question is when I look up the directions to go home it has me leaving the port and going South on Rt. 440 over the Bayonne Bridge and into Staten Island turning onto Rt. 278 and then onto NJ Turnpike. Is this correct?

Just curious why I can't go home the way I came to the port. Any help would be appreciated because I'm confused.

  6. I will have to look and see if they offer this as an excursion through Royal Caribbean. Don't really want to pay the ships prices but if we want to see St George we may just have to.

That's a great idea checking with my roll call. I will do that also.

    Thanks!

  7. I need your opinions-

We will be in Bermuda for 1 day next month on a Saturday from 8-4. We have been to Bermuda before but never got to see St George.

Plan A- Go see St George area. Unfortunately it looks like the ferry does not run there on Saturdays. So I don't think we will have enough time to see St George. If we go by bus I'm not sure that gives us enough time to really see things. I'm worried about seeing everything and getting back to the ship in time.

Plan B- Take a bus or taxi (Not sure how much it is for 2 people) to go see Gibbs Lighthouse, go check out the sea glass, maybe go to the Swizzle Inn for lunch and then head back to the dock area and walk around. Not sure if all of this is feasible by bus. I think we would take bus 7 or 8 for all of this. Is that correct?

If anyone has any opinions or tips I would appreciate it.

  8. Has anyone recently used Amigo Tours? I'll be in St. Martin for the 1st time in September on the Explorer and was thinking about doing an island tour. I've researched Bernard Tours and Amigo Tours. It appears Amigo Tours offers a lot more places to visit than Bernard's for about the same price. I don't see may reviews for Amigo so I'm nervous. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences?
