We are becoming increasingly concerned about driving from Central Florida via the turnpike Friday. There are flood warnings for the hotel where will be staying. Anyone else concerned about the flooding. situation? Called hotel and they say their parking lot does flood.

The drydock is two weeks for the Nieuw Amsterdam in December. Anyone know what all is planned?
Loved the ship last December. Hope they do not change it too much,

We had booked a NA cruise Dec. 9-16. Got notice from HAL that it was cancelled. No explanation.
Your mention of a drydock in December must be the reason. I hope that doesn't impact the cruise we booked for Dec. 16-23. Any thoughts on this?

We booked this cruise yesterday with the $1 deposit using a cruise agency . Have not heard from her yet. What were the offered alternatives you got??

Last month I had wheel chair assistance at Port Everglades for HAL Nieuw Amsterdam ship and it was flawless. Can someone tell me if this is available on Constellation in Tampa. Any positive reviews for this ship? Would like to cruise out of Tampa to eliminate the drive to Fort Lauderdale.

Are we the only cruisers that would like HAL to put one of their smaller ships in Tampa Florida? Their smaller ships would be able to go under the Sunshine Sky Way Bridge.

Thank you. This is what I was looking for. Now to decide. Will buy 8 pkg to start and have 2 brought to our cabin. We favor sweeter wines. Nice to be 4 star mariners and have the discount.

I have not found that but will look again at our booking.

We will be cruising in two weeks. Have always waited to order wine pkg in dining room from wine steward. Our thinking is that he/she would get recognition for selling us the pkg. Is that still the case? Would like to see the wines that are in each cellar. Does someone have that information and can post it here. Thanks.

Yes, I read that review and we are very much encouraged. Sorry we can meet you when we cruise Dec.11-18. Looking forward to review of your cruise . We tested positive for Covid two days after returning from our Rotterdam cruise in April. Do not want that again. Have a great cruise. A bit of trivia: my Dad and his family came over to America on the first Nieuw Amsterdam in 1927.

Mister 67 are you on the next cruise Dec.11-18? We will have our 33rd HAL cruise that week. Our 53rd cruise overall. I am looking forward to your review and remarks about the Nieuw Amsterdam when you are on her. Hope they are good and encouraging.

Same with us. Feel better about our cruise Dec. 11 on the NA.

This review of Nieuw Amsterdam is refreshing. We sail on the NA Dec.11. We are feeling better now.

This is a question about wine stewards/servers. On a cruise a few years ago we had a wine steward that was excellent. I am wondering if he might be on New Amsterdam. His name is
Roy Nunga. Anyone else have him and remember him?

That is good to know. Thanks for reply.

Would like to know if raisen buns are in the Lido for breakfast. We have done 32 HAL crusies and always loved them. Hope they still have them.

We have done 32 cruises on Holland American ships. We especially like the raisen buns they have at breakfast. Asking New Amsterdam recent cruisers if the Lido still has them.

I would also like to know what time the gym opens in the morning. Do they have recumbent bikes as well as upright bikes?

Thank you for the information.

Looking to cruise in December 2021. Niew Amsterdam and Eurodam are doing 7 day cruise on Dec. 23 and 22. Does anyone know if both azipods are working on Niew Amsterdam. Have read that the last cruises there was only one engine operating. Any adverse reports for the Eurodam?? Perhaps we should book cruise on Eurodam. Any advice would be welcomed.

Received refund today. Cancelled March 27 cruise on March 19. So took 81 days for the refund to be posted to credit card.

Thanks Ruth C for the detailed information. You are a wealth of info. We just booked an I cabin on the lower promenade. On two Rotterdam cruises in 2018 we had Lanai cabins. Too much noise with grinding and work being done on life boards. Also sections of deck were closed often for work. We like the smaller ships and Holland American.
-
Anyone stay in category I inside cabin and can tell me about their stay in it. Is the ship in ok condition. Cruised on Rotterdam in 2018 in a Lanai cabin and the Lower Promenade deck was often closed off in sections and the noise from welding and work on lifeboats was deafening. Haven't been in an inside cabin since way back. We are five star now with 31 HAL cruises. Love the smaller ships.

Dutch Cafe questions. Is there a charge for the Dutch cafe and what are the hours? Considering the K'dam and need some incentives to get me to book on this ship.

Thanks for the advice. We are considering what we will do and watching the weather forecast.
