  1. Apparently not, we are just off the Seine Uniworld cruise yesterday. Several couples joined us from the Basel to Amsterdam cruise canceled last week with only 2 days notice.  Another couple joined from the also canceled with 2 day notice Bucharest to Budapest cruise.

  2. another question for anyone on christmas markets cruise - nuremberg to budapest, on ama website in Passau I see a morning Passau city tour or alternatively full day salsburg tour. I am unable to decide as I dont know what is on offer for the afternoon if i do the Passau for morning. thanks

Its been a few years but I believe you cruise down the Danube and the other tour joins downstream.

  3. A 12 year old will not be allowed in the Fun Factory as it is strictly limited to ages 3-11. The X-Club is for 12 through teens and is very small with limited hours and programming.

I took my 2 twelve year old granddaughters on the Millennium to Alaska two years ago. I would guess 25-30 total teens on our voyage. On sea days my granddaughters found little little to keep them busy as the one or two scheduled X-Club activities did not interest them.

It was too cold in Alaska to use the outdoor pool or the sports deck, and the indoor pool was limited to adults only during the daytime and would open to families only from 4-6 pm, We did, however, have a great trip together, just we did not rely on Celebrity for activities or entertainment of the two grandchildren.

  4. We tried Blu on our first Celebrity cruise and had a similar experience to you. The food is just not our style, the room is very loud, and there is a constant turnover of tables all around.

The cabins are also not always in the best location, at least on the Reflection, as we were under the gym and could hear a constant pounding from early am to late at night from the treadmills. (This was an Aqua Guarantee room.)

Two subsequent trips in the MDR and we are much happy when on Celebrity. Also I found the room sticky and now pay very close attention to room selection and will not do GTY again. :)

  5. What a great report! We were on the March 7 Eastern Caribbean in Aqua class. Our experience was very similar to yours, especially the craziness in Blu and poor service at the pool bar. We had pre-booked an Eastern Med on the Connie for this summer in a Veranda and am glad we did as we have no desire to do Aqua again.

One difference was we did enjoy our Murano and Tuscan Grille dinners which were far more civilized and food significantly better than the Blu "experience".
