  1. We were in A726 on the Island Princess and my brother was in A727 in June. Two doors to balcony- one in living room and one in bedroom. The door in the bedroom does lead to the side balcony but easy access to the back. I may be in the minority but we loved the Island!!!!

  2. Still sitting in Ft. Lauderdale Airport! Bojan is the Internet Cafe man to see if you have an issue. He was Very Helpful. Here's what I learned while onboard. I used my iPhone the entire time. You switch your phone to Airplane Mode. While onboard, you can access events, send messages to other passengers, check your shipboard account through Princess Messenger for No Cost. I purchased Internet minutes. Most of the time, the Internet worked reasonably well but my email wasn't easy to use. Instead, I used Messenger. It worked quickly and always worked for me. I also send and received photos this way. Just in case any of you are not tech savvy( I'm not), this was the best solution for me!

  3. I wish I had seen your thread before I started my own. We were on the same cruise too. We did see Bert Stratton and he was one of our favorites. Don't be overly concerned about the ship's condition. I thought she looked great and our cabin was also in good shape until... Our only downfall was that someone managed to "flood" three cabins with "something" they flushed in their toilet that "didn't belong there" on our second day. Two cabins beside us and one diagonally. We had water in about 4-5 feet into our cabin and the adjacent wall was damp with one large sopping wet spot. They tried to wet vac it but it stayed damp the entire rest of the cruise. Of course I found out when I stepped in the water in bare feet - yuck! We had to call twice - once for the extra wet spots and once for the awful smell that started in the hallway from the adjacent cabins. it was bad - they had to remove all furniture in those cabins and ran the blowers to dry them 24/7. They were apologetic both times but I think they should have offered to move us. Instead, they gave us slippers so our feet wouldn't get wet. The first night the cruise director said the ship held around 3000 but only 2200-2300 were sailing so there should have been a room somewhere. Oh well, we still had a nice time but it did "dampen the situation".

  4. This was our first Princess cruise and yes, we definitely enjoyed it. On my cellphone on way home so excuse my typing. We didn't get the amazing deal that many did since I booked in August. Here are some quick pros. I have to work in the morning.

PROS: first mini suite- we loved the extra space in the cabin and bathroom. We were deck 9 and didn't mind the exposed balcony. But... We had perfect weather:). Landon Swank, magician, was terrific! We thoroughly enjoyed Bert Stratton too. Caribbean Orchestra was one of our favorites. Food was good but not exceptional. We only did dining room since it was a short cruise. All staff was very polite and friendly. Ship was not full so areas were not crowded. I'll tell you the cons later but my biggest disappointment was NO CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. A few poinsettias appeared throughout the four days. I read on here that the decorations went up right after Thanksgiving so I was hoping to see them.

  5. We are looking at an Alaska Cruisetour for late summer 2015. I'd like to take advantage of the 3 in 1 sale offer. Here's my question.... we are sailing for the first time in December with Princess. We've sailed with Carnival, Celebrity, Norwegian, Disney but never Princess. We were planning to purchase FCC onboard but now I'm wondering if the better offer is the 3 in 1 offer now, even though we wouldn't be past passengers yet. The deposit now would be $200 according to the Princess planner. Is the deposit forfeited if you cancel and rebook or is there a "window" where it's completely refunded? THANKS!!!
