Those AFT cabins are quite nice.  Doesn't matter if they are in the Haven proper or not.  They are some of the most preferential cabins on the ship in my estimation.

I hope I think that! I normally like to stay in suite area on any cruiseline but I couldn't say no to a 300 sqft balcony for Alaska! Plus with it being cold I won't get as much wind so I won't freeze as much outside. lol

I think some of the mix up is NCL calling the suites outside the Haven, Haven suites.  They do get access to the Haven which I understand why.  However IMHO being outside the Haven while having Haven access is not the same IMHO.  But they are so much cheaper its not like anyone is being ripped off.  If you booked with a TA then I would definitely address it with them.  But they did not lie in selling you a Haven suite.  I can see how its confusing.  Would you have spent $2000 more to stay inside the Haven?   If its a spa suite then you have access to the spa which is a HUGE perk that people staying inside the Haven do not have.  Its the glass half full approach.

Being in the haven proper doesn't mean you spent less money. I have an aft large balcony haven room coming up soon on the bliss and I could have stayed in the haven proper for $1,000 less.

Have you looked at car rental locations in the downtown?

I really wanted to do that but it's so much more expensive since we will need to drop off at the airport afterwards. It's $150-$200 extra so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth paying the extra funds to be closer or if taxi isn't too bad to airport.

People pay the premium for the Yacht Club for a reason - and it certainly isn't to have others try and get cheaper accommodations for some of their family members and then try and get them the perks of the Yacht Club.  Either book all cabins in the Yacht Club or join your other family members in the other open areas of the ship.

I understand that. I have cruised many times in suites. I just didn't want to pay for an additional suite just for a 12 year old if at all possible. The reason we cruise is for the suite areas so it would be pointless to book if she can't join the family. I don't understand why everyone got so upset over a question. I'm not trying to sneak family in... It's really for a 12 year old to join her parents, brother and sister at dinner and the pool.

I'll bet you asked the same question about the Haven on NCL.

There is no reason to be a jerk. It was a question! I have sailed in the haven 5+ times and the royal suite class 8+ times. My mother doesn't want to come but I'm trying to figure out how to get my 12 year old with us since she can't sail in the same room as us. Didn't exactly want to pay for two MSC Yacht Club Royal Suites because of a 12 year old. Royal Caribbean has aloud us to book the royal suite and inside cabin for the teen and had no problems with her coming on board with us and going to the suite area.

We were on the Harmony 9/22. We were told by Club Royale we only needed 200 pts.

for free drinks and a free cruise. We met beautiful Tatiana and she told us our 2300

pts. expired the end of March. We were realllly pissed off.

We gambled and lost having 1100 points on this cruise. Took a week back to Tampa

and jumped back on 10./6. Same great waiters and room steward. 🙂

We earned 2500 points and asked Tatiana about our "Free"

     cruise.

She told us we should read the fine print as it is only given if you spend 12,500

gambling on one cruise. Thanks for all the Bullshit advertising.  Two cruises in 3 weeks and we do not get our cruise they push allllll week?  My wife stayed in the casino  late every night as we were still mad about them taking our earlier 2300 Pts.  As platinum

members we also very much enjoyed RCL giving us a coupon for one "bogo" offer for a glass of wine.

How can they afford to give away a free glass of wine??

We also got "Swatted" by someone who called 911 on us at 1:30 am on the last formal night with

half a dozen rapid response security that treated me like a dog. I repeatedly

asked for an apology from the head of security and was ignored even after

4 or five calls and contacting floor security. We spent 10k for these two cruises,

tipped staff profusely, passed out 60 lbs. of chocolates to our cruise staff,

and still want what happened at 1:30 AM  at our cabin door to be addressed. Two guys in silk suits with body cams, four more men with their game faces on, I was shocked and traumatized.

CLOSE YOUR DOOR AND STAY IN YOUR ROOM is the last thing I heard from

the RCCL emergency SWAT team... 😞  I am upset and very sad.

Their response was uncalled for, Period.

    We're the Moore's

    Tampa Bay

what do you mean if you spend 12,500 in one cruise? Are you saying $12,500 in dollars? Because if so that is not the case.

  7. I’ve been on a lot of cruises on 6 different cruise lines. Is it just me or does the royal Caribbean staff seem very unhappy. Don’t get me wrong we have encounter some friendly staff but over half of the workers never smile and they seem inconvenienced when you ask for items. Even the kids club staff acted like they hate children. I’ve never experienced this on other cruise lines but it seems like royal Caribbean it’s every cruise.

  8. I think 6 months is the perfect age. It’s actually easier when they are that young compared to our now 1 and 2 year old. We took the first when he was 6 months and 1 week and it was one of our favorite cruises. They love seeing everything and sleep really well. Then we went when he was 18 months and our daughter was 6 months and that was a challenge because of different nap times but it was still worth it. Going on next cruise in 2 weeks and can’t wait!

  9. We made prime on our last cruise and they told us on board that would entitled us to 1 free cruise. When we called they said we only get free cruise offers on certain sailings. Does this mean we have to pick from these choices and once we pick an offer will that be it and they will stop offering deals? Also, we have to travel with our 1 and 2 year old and they said we can’t ever use the kids sail free offer. Do they ever allow for you to use offers they give to everyone else?

    Thanks in advance!! :)

  10. shouldn't. its an easy check to see if the water bottles are still sealed. plus don't they make packs of bottled water that are shrink wrapped? just don't tear off the shrink wrap.

Back when I was younger I would sneak in liquor using the bottles of water that are shrink wrapped. It's very easy to get a few bottles out and put them back in and make it look like it's untouched. When on a strict budget you can really find some funny ways to sneak alcohol on.. lol
