  1. I used it back in march on the elation. It was great for me! Easy to communicate with your shipmates you’re traveling with- just make sure you keep the app running in the background or you won’t get notified when they respond!

  2. I understand that, I really liked the ease of sailing out of Charleston, but want to do some different ships and itineraries for a bit, but if we like the Sunshine next year, we'll be very tempted to do one of the 5 day to Cuba cruises out of Charleston in 2020 :D

Yes, Cuba looks interesting! I May have to look at that as well!

  3. Are you sailing out of PC or Charleston? I wanted to wait until May and go out of Charleston since it's less than a couple hours away, but unfortunately there was only short cruises to the Bahamas then, and we're in no hurry to go back to Nassau or Freeport. So, off to FLA again! :D

My home port of charleston :)

Don't sail until 11/2/19. Didn't want to sail the ecstasy from charleston. Just went on elation out of Jacksonville in march .. so wanted to leave from home next time around.

  4. You don't get a real 20% discount. The offer is the Early Saver rate(already 20% off the full price Fun Select rate), 50% off deposit, two category upgrade, and $50 OBC($100 for suites).

When this offer ends, the early saver rate will be $5 more per person. This is what I noticed after using this offer three times(all 5 day cruises). One cruise had two people, and the other two are solo.

This version of the program went into effect on 5/8/17. Any cruises booked under the previous version of the program are grandfathered.

Yes, I've come to notice my discount wasn't really much of a discount... I constantly check my booking for price changes. Oh well! Lol. I was happy to get that offer and OBC and book another cruise regardless! [emoji12]

  5. Sailed the Carnival Elation March 1-5, 2018 from Jax. We drove from Charleston, SC the morning of. I went with my mother, sister & cousin (who drove from Orlando, FL). I really enjoyed this cruise (beside the last day at sea- horrible seas. Couldn't even walk a straight line).

I loved the new upgrades & the room I had was comfortable- ESP those little twin beds ;) we stayed on the upper deck U181.

We had your time dining, but after the first night we req the same wait staff. Danielot & Phillips- abs wonderful guys!! Great service! Also our favorite bartender was Tomislav! Usually found in the back bar in Tiffany's.

In Freeport we took a van to Lighthouse Pointe at the Grand Lucayan. The van ride was 10$ PP round trip. BC of our late dock time at 1pm- we chose to pay the $20 PP to use their beach & pools. So we paid per drink/ food. There is an all inclusive option for 75$. This resort was beautiful! I've even looked at booking a trip just to the resort!

In Nassau we walked thru the market and on our way to Junkanoo beach. We chose Seagulls on the beach. Can't beat 4 bahamas mamas for 20$ and 3 beers & 3 shots for $10. The beach was crazy packed- so we sat at a table and enjoyed ourself.

Overall this cruise was awesome! Besides the horrible sea day we had.. the only other bad I would say is the debark process. We chose to carry off our luggage ... seemed to take forever regardless. But I am already looking at booking my next cruise!
