Isn't that just wonderful! RCCl is going to build the fifth Quantum Class, the worst ranked class of ships in the RCCL fleet. No thank you! If this is the direction of RCCL then I'll take my money somewhere else.

Just wondering if the Star uses Sabatini's for pizza during lunch? I've read here that some ships without an Alfredo's use Sabatini's for sit down pizza during lunch. The Star has no Alfredo's so just wondering. Thanks

I have read the reviews of the Quantum, 35% approval rating a worse rating than Costa ships and way below Carnival. Some marketing guru blew smoke of the CEO's ?????

After the rollout of the Quantum I would ask the same question. Why Royal Caribbean? They are doing away with some of the staples that made them a true standout in the cruise in the cruise industry. No more Viking Crown lounge, no more main dining room, pay for hot items on room service and so-on, I am sure there are many more. I used to be a cheerleader for Royal, but after reading so many negative reviews of the Quantum I'll just stay away.

I've done over 30 cruises and after my last on the EOS I decided that the cruising industry has gone way down hill. Just not worth it anymore!!!

Going to do land resorts and not worry about big lines, Dynamic dining with poor food and service.

RCCL made a multi-billion dollar mistake on this class of ship and their super flawed dynamic dining.

RCCL trumps Carnival in so many ways. Usually costs a bit more (not always though) and I have found the cruise experience soooo much better on RCCL.

Hey and Disney lets you smuggle booze onboard. Oh, guess it's not smuggling if they allow you to bring it.

I cruise often and on various lines. All I can say is that after my last Carnival cruise June 2012 aboard the Dream, I am so done with Carnival.

My spouse and I had the premium package on our cruise onboard the Century to Hawaii last fall. We found the package to certainly well worth the price since so much was included;

Fresh squeezed OJ in the buffet every morning.

Bottled water whenever you want, great for going ashore and coming back onboard.

Speciality coffees all day long including the ones with alcohol in them.

Soda and juices.

Smoothies.

All drinks less than $10 or $12, I forget which amount.

Although it doesn't include bottles of wine the Sommelier never let my wine glass go empty at dinner. :)

Bloody Mary in the AM for those times when you enjoyed your package the night before.

Need to remember that the package does not include room service or any items in your room.

Yes, you could say that it's expensive, however, I am on vacation and being an ex-sailor I really don't count my drinks, that's for sissies.:D

I will wear my tux on elegant/formal nights on Celebrity, HAL and maybe Princess if it's a longer cruise, but not on Carnival. I'll just wear a jacket and tie and often still feel overdressed, it's just a different atmosphere.
