  1. Does anyone know the email address for the maître d for the Horizon. I know that they begin normally with the two letters of the ship name unless there are two that begin the same.

I was just wondering if it would be ho or maybe hz as the beginning letters. I have a niece who has a large group going and would like to contact the maître d.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  2. Good morning all. Just a quick question. In the past I have emailed the maitred on the Pride (with great results by the way).

Would anyone know the email for the Horizon as the Pride started with PR. I have a niece scheduled on the Horizon and would like to email this person.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  3. First off, sanmarcosman,,,,,,,,,,,,how rude!!

We haven't used a TA in many many years. We did use one of their planners one time and he slept on the job. I did all the looking and getting $ back when price dropped. We find it just easier to do it ourselves.

The one question I always ask (even though I will never book ES) is if I cancel before final payment will my total down payment be refunded. I usually know the answer due to how we book but ALWAYS ask that question.

Easy for some people to say "no problem" you will use it down the road. I guess they don't stop to think that everyone may not be able to afford to have that money held.

Sorry for your inconvenience and hopefully all will work out for you down the road.

  4. Sailed many times but on the Pride the most since we live in Balto. County. I enjoy reading all Pride reviews as well as yours. We all have different opinions. I do know that the Pride has ALWAYS had that bad vibrations, especially in the aft dining room. We just always try to stay out of that area,,,and would never book a cabin on any deck back there. Overall, we really enjoy all our trips on the Pride. Hopefully your next trip will be better for you.

  5. I am a fairly seasoned cruiser but not so much with the hospital situation. We will be sailing the eastern c (St Thomas, St Marteen (spell), etc. I am curious about the hospitals should you need one off the ship. We have a family member who wants to go but who isn't in the best of health. I have heard terrible things about the one in Nassau but nothing about other islands. We are well aware of the care on board. Had to use it one time ourselves and was extremely pleased with the care on board. Just want to check out the hospital situation before this person makes a final decision as to accompany us.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  6. Haven't sailed since Thanksgiving, 2015. I have quite a few family members sailing the pride this coming week. I don't want to tell them wrong so thought I'd check first,,,,,,,,,,,,does the Pride still have the soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower,,,and do they still fill them? I never used the stuff, always took my own but my husband used it and has never had any complaints.

    Thanks for your help!

  7. We stayed at a hotel that offered the shuttle and to keep your car there but we prefer to have our vehicle when we get off the ship. We parked at the port. Our vehicle in their garage on the first level (don't remember how many they had) and it was so easy getting and and out. Would do it again.

  8. So glad it worked out for you! This is NOW my biggest fear. Haven't cruised this year due to fear. Had emergency surgery on my colon due to blockage Aug 2015. Sailed that Thanksgiving week. Two weeks after we were home I was rushed by ambulance so sick that they had to hold off surgery for a few days before they could operate. Had another blockage, almost gangrene, due to scar tissue from first surgery. I still to this day am so grateful that we were home when it happened. Unfortunately, after hearing horror stories about the hospitals in the Bahamas I haven't booked since. (Didn't help that shortly after recovering earlier this year from the 2nd surgery in Dec I saw a story on The Doctor's about a guy who went to the hospital in Nassau (he was at Atlantis) and they butchered him. The details were awful.

Would sail north to NE/CAN but hoping they replace the Sunshine soon. Not to worried about being hospitalized in US or Canada (and I know that we do have some bad hospitals of our own here in US).
