  1. Just wanted to update incase anyone else has this question. I arranged transport at 6am. We planned to meet at 5:30am and walk off with our luggage. They were already calling floors of self assist by 5:15am.

We waited outside for 15 minutes for our ride and they arrived at 6am promptly and we got to Stanstead Airport very early, no traffic. We had a 11:35am flight. We sat around, had sit down breakfast at the airport and just waited for our flight. Security line was 5 minutes according to the board.

I booked a 10 am flight for Seattle with a ship arrival time at 7 am.  We were off the ship by 6:50. We were at the airport by 7:30.  Every Carnival cruise I have taken lately, has come in early. Only time I have been late on CCL was out of Galveston due to fog and we were like 14 hours late so it wouldn't have mattered when your flight was...most missed them if they were the same day.  From what I have been hearing about Pride, everyone has to be out of their rooms by 6:15. They rush everyone off the ship because they have to leave out before the ferrys start running. Someone posted that their 6:30 am carnival bus left at 6:13 am.  No clue how long it will take to get to where you are going, but I would think a car at 6:30 would be fine. If anything, you may be waiting on them. I have no clue how far it is to that airport as I have always flown in/out of LHR because it is the only direct flight to/from Houston.

Thanks for this information. I am arranging an early ride to Stanstead also. I will tell the  car company 6:15am. We are Sunday so hopefully not a lot of traffic.

  3. I went on the 3 day Conquest December 17th. It was a Friday to Monday sailing. By Tuesday, many had tested positive at home. A bunch more Wednesday and Thursday. Including myself. This is my first day up again. I think I got it on the plane going next to a lady who I suspected was looking under the weather. The onset of symptoms line up with that also(4 days)

The staff was definitely telling people to wear masks and even gave them to a few people who said they didn't have one on them. Smoking was prohibited even in the Casino. Side bar: I was shocked how refreshing the air was in there.

Did anyone take their own camera?

I took my phone in a waterproof pouch that went around my neck. My son had a GoPro.

I also agree with a previous poster that some of the alternatives were just as bad. My daughter was young also. She did fine.

  5. I think its 32 Ozs if I recall.

Honestly it probably cuts down on waste. We end up leaving them behind as I'm sure a lot of others do also. They will have to dump them after each cruise now as I doubt they are sanitizing bottles of water between cruises. In the past they probably just reused unopened bottles.

  6. I have a question regarding the way the 25% will be applied.

If you are not the 1st/2nd person listed on reservation, will they give you 25% of the reduced 3rd/4th/5th fare. On my August cruise on the Breeze the 3rd and 4th were $10 on one room and $70 on the other. Obviously thats an extreme case but even $239 vs $1019 is substantial.

    Thank you for any assistance.

Does anyone know why they have the 275lb weight limit for the excursions to the falls? My husband is a big guy who is in decent shape but is a little above that weight limit so it makes me nervous to book it.

My husband it over 300lbs. He slid and used the wooden ladders. They didn't say anything and there were life vests to fit him.

  8. Yes the taxi stays the whole time. We left most stuff in the van but did pay for the locker for wallets etc and my husbands stuff and shoes.

I'm back. Thanks for the info. We got a van that fit 7 of us. After 5 ppl its supposed to add more money per person. They told me $120 Round Trip. I said of I though it was $100. he said yes but the extra people and showed me the chart. He then said ok $100. We didn't argue of anything. Maybe they are just used to people haggling.

The walk for the kids(10-16) was easy. For us chunky folks....it was a bit harder. Honestly is was the 3675365362 stairs. The uphill/distance didn't bother me.

My husband nor younger daughter could swim and they were both fine.

They did allow ladder use for a few as my husband was not comfortable doing most of the jumps/slides.

  9. I was on the 8/24 sailing of the Breeze. I too was surprised at what I saw in regards to the dining room chairs. Our table for 12 had mostly stained chairs. The chairs are a reddish burgundy color and the dark stains on then had you making sure it wasn’t fresh grease to stain your clothes. We sat at another table for Brunch and those were stained but not nearly as bad as our dinner table.

The only other think I noticed was the smell. We were deck 7 aft. I’ve smelled a waft of sewage before in my 22 cruises but it was kinda bad for most of the cruise.

I only used the public restroom once and it was clean.

My cruise wasn’t ruined but there were some noticeable negatives.

We have a family of 5 and easily fit in a minivan last week. It looked like most of the vehicles they had were minivans so you should be fine splitting them up into 3 groups. Cost was $100 round trip.

You can only do a maximum of 12 waterfalls right now because it has been so dry. Still a great time and well worth doing. Taking a taxi is easy and will save you over using a tour company.

Thank you so much for this info. Cant wait to do it next week.

  11. Me at 34

    husband 36

    daughter 7

    daughter 10

    son 9

    son 13

We definitely spend less money now. When my youngest daughter turned 1 we started cruising multiple times a year. Now that we cruise so much nothing is “needed”. We buy a ship magnet every time and we still buy some port of call photos but those are payed for by the $100 per room stock credit.

We we used to spend in the arcade but they get a few games free each with platinum status.

I can can definitely see where they would get the cruise more spend less although I’m sure it can be the opposite too.

  12. We are a group of 15(6 adults, 9 kids). We would like to do the Falls on our own but wanted to verify how many people can fit in the vehicles. In other ports I know they have cars and vans but was unsure what the maximum anyone recalls seeing would be.

I noticed on another post someone said they took a 4 person car. I was hoping that wasn't the only option.

    Thank you for any assistance.

  13. This is my concern also. I have my Girl Scout troop booked in 5 cabins specifically for Cuba. We had a whole thing planned around learning the culture etc. I know it’s not the cruise lines fault but I we are still disappointed. I hope there will be decent ports and a price drop or the option to change without penalty. NY itineraries are expensive but adding Cuba made it even more so. We will see...

  14. They will stop you if its not the same stateroom. However if the dad is already off the ship its easier. If not they interrogate you to the nth power. I had issues taking my kids off every time. We cruise multiple times a year. Every ship is the same thing.  We use two room because we have 4 kids. They aren't rude of anything. They just want to make sure. Make sure your cabins are linked.

Oh no, Tomato soup is missing.  It was the best.  Can’t read the menu on the Burgers, has anyone had a Burger or can read the menu better than I can.

The Aft Deck is Pictured Below. It was good to me. I saw above someone didn’t care for it. Mine was juicy tender meat and very good. A few others had it two days in a row.

My husband had the Voyage. It’s a big burger! It also has a sunny side up egg on it along with other breakfast things. He said it was good but it was large and stuff was falling everywhere.
