We made appts Monday for a Thursday test. Yes you do pay first

Just off Oasis. My husband carried soda and some water bottles in a backpack. He had to carry it until our room opened.

Just off Oasis and the sign posted said 16.  I didn’t see any teenagers there anyway.

Definitely our Mediterranean cruise in 2015. It was our first time in Rome and it was a dream come true.  We were on ncl epic and I loved all the port stops. Magical!

I was on Breakaway a few years ago.  I loved the mega ship experience. In June of 2018 we were on the Pearl to Alaska. The ship was in great condition. My husband loved it.  He prefers the smaller ship.  I prefer the larger ones.  We’ll be on epic in April.  We were on it in 2015 for a Mediterranean cruise. 

Don’t assume you WON’T get seasick. On our first cruise I was very sick the first night.  Now ,12 cruises later, I always pack Bonine and use it on sea days😀

Western Mediterranean on the ncl epic four years ago.  For me it was best cruise with the best ports. Also best weather we ever had on a cruise!

If you have time you could always disembark early, walk to Pike Place Market, and get a coffee or breakfast. Then catch a taxi from there.

Do you need to request the port valet papers or are they in your stateroom? We would like to use this on our Pearl cruise in 2 weeks. I’m reading so many different posts. Thanks for your help:)

Had no idea Joel died on Harmony. So sad for his family to have to travel to Puerto Rico.

I agree. We spent 4 days pre cruise (one of which was jet lag recovery day) and we could have used at least one more.

I agree with this also. We spent three nights prior to our Epic cruise and I wish we had more. We left New York City at 8 pm. I was able to sleep on the plane. Hubby not so much. When we arrived In Rome we reserved a car to take us From airport to the hotel. Checked in and then went out again. We had a dinner and Rome by Night tour in the evening. We also took a car to Civitavecchia. We are in our sixties so this was easiest for us. Doing Rome pre or post cruise is a personal option.

Deciding on an ncl cruise to Alaska next year. It leaves from Seattle (round trip). Can't decide on port or starboard side. We want a balcony midship. I've read so many different comments on this. Thanks for any help

we did a mid ship minisuite on breakaway in April and the bathroom was larger. The balcony was smaller than the regular balconies on the Dawn and Gem. The room itself seemed smaller but I really liked the bathroom. Going on the Epic next year and have booked a large balcony.

when I was on Princess several years ago I purchased the card about halfway thru. Think it was $25. I didnt know about it until then or would have bought it sooner. I dont think ncl has it as I'm going on Breakaway soon.!

Does anyone know what's in the center of deck 10? There are cabins on either side but no inside cabins from what I can see on the pictures.

We cruised on the Gem two years ago, and the Dawn last April (our 2nd time), also the Jewel three years ago. We like all the entertainment. However all three ships have one pool which was always crowded. It did not matter to us since we liked to lounge in an uncrowded area. The gem had a nice large shower type thing so you could cool off. That said, we are going on the Breakaway in April

as we want to try a new, large ship.
