We were just in St. Kitts on 2/9 and got the day pass at the Marriott. We got there at about 9:30am and had no problem purchasing a pass at the desk (they still give out wristbands). It is $49 per person and gives you access to the beach and the pool. At the beach, chairs are included as well as a cabana-like covered area. Cabanas at the pool are an additional $30. Also get a discount on food, drinks and spa services. Nice beach, very quiet and plenty of room.

any issues with seaweed? We will be there end of March and we are waiting to book to see how the seaweed situation is.

How does Peloton usage on ship work?   Do you need to log into your home acct or does the ship run an account?  I’d bring my own spin shoes. Do they run it as a group class or can you do on own?

We’ve always logged into our personal accounts. I’ve read that people are able to get on without an account but can’t confirm that. Peloton usually has delta clip shoes but the commercial ones that I’ve rode on many Celebrity ships in the past have SPD clips on one side and cages on the other. They are not part of a group class.

  3. Can anyone who cruised in the past month or two confirm if Pelotons are back in the gym? I’ve read that they were removed from the gyms in the past six months due to the seat recalls and search option couldn’t find any recent information.
    Thank you!

@greekprincess: Thank you for that info! Our flight is departs at 5:15pm so it's good to know if we go with the group tour that the wait wouldn't be unbearably long. 🙂

No problem! If you are in the JetBlue terminal, it’s very small only a small food court and not much to do. We didn’t notice until it was too late that we could walk over to the other terminal that had full restaurants and more options.

We were on the Summit September 2022. The gym has four Peloton bikes for general use. No reservations or class required to use them. I used them everyday. There are also other Peloton bikes but they were in a separate area of the gym and were only for the reserved classes.

Interesting. In July they had slipcovers on the screens saying you must reserve them at the spa desk. I also rode them everyday.

Zitsky- yes you wear regular sneakers in the cages.

  6. The Pelotons on Summit have the cages on one side and SPD clips on the other. They are commercial bikes so they do not have delta clips like normal Peloton bikes. When I was on the Summit in July (and equinox in November) you DO need to reserve them at the spa reservation desk.

  7. Someone recently on the Equinox confirmed that they had Pelotons. I’ve also seen on a Peloton Facebook page that Summit and Millennium have them. If you go on Celebrity’s website and choose both Equinox and Reflection under “ships”, there is an explore wellness section that mentions Peloton cycling.

  8. Hello! I will be on the Equinox next month and looking to see what type of clips (SPD or Delta) the bikes have. I’ve seen posts that Apex and Edge have SPD but have not been able to confirm for Equinox. I want to bring my own shoes and need to bring the correct ones. Any help would be much appreciated!

  9. We rented from Yes rental at the pier in 2019. It was not a good experience and I wouldn’t recommend it. I had reserved the car ahead of time via email. We were told to ask for Ricardo. When we got to the rental car area, no one could find Ricardo. This other man with a different rental car company shirt ended up giving us this really beat up car and agreed to the amount that we were told via emails. The whole experience seemed really shady and the car ended up being fine but I would not rent with them again.

  10. We are renting before our cruise in April as well. When I booked with Budget, they did have an option for drop off at the location near the pier but it was about $15 more. I read that their shuttle doesn’t start until noon and it can take awhile since they will be dropping off to multiple ships. We went with the airport drop off instead and will just Uber over.

This is totally unrelated to your current cruise.  My wife & I are looking to take a 10 day on the Reflection in April 2021.  We will be in our mid 40's.  Is this to young for Celebrity?  What is the average age you are seeing on your current cruise?

My husband and I are 33 and we started cruising with Celebrity in our mid twenties. We don’t have kids so we enjoy the small number of kids on board. We are definitely on the younger side on our Celebrity cruises but like others have said we don’t cruise for the activities on board. We like the aqua class and enjoy Blu, the Persian gardens and quietness of the Solarum. We’ve met some amazing people that were much older than us that we had a great time with on our past couple cruises.

  12. The Spa Cafe will also cook you a chicken breast or salmon made to order. You do have to wait about 10 mins but totally worth it. Simple but healthy and delicious

That cafe also is not exclusive to AQ passenger. They started to change the name of it to just the Spa Cafe on a few of the ships because the name caused many to think that it was for Aqua guests only.

They also don’t offer much anymore except some very small plates that are supposed to be healthier than many of the choices offered in the buffet.

    Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

  13. We also did this tour last year and really enjoyed it.

    :)

We took a ship's tour, Catamaran Sail and Nevis beach swim. It was excellent. Great views of the Islands, lots of drinks. Even the good local beer was included, where many similar excursions only provide rum punch ( and usually made with really cheap rum). There was a full hour to swim on Paradise Beach on Nevis, and the crew set up a portable bar on shore. Lots of music on the way back too. A most enjoyable day. Price was fair as well.

  14. Has anyone booked a 2D guarantee on Silhouette or her sister ships? Looking at a last minute cruise for the end of March but I’ve never booked a guarantee before. I’m looking at either this or an assigned cabin on the Equinox. I would prefer silhouette due to its itinerary but would love some insight on 2D guarantee. When I look at availabilities, there are no balconies available other than guarantee. Thanks!

  15. Le Bistro, Cagney's and Teppanyaki are accurate from beyondships from our cruise on BA last week. With the exception of The new lobster addition in Cagney's.
