The passage contract is found under Personal Information and Documents in the app.

Thanks.  I'd found it eventually and it was already ticked, so I'd obviously forgotten I'd done it.  Re the QR code anomaly, I went on Live Chat and they said if you've already been confirmed on the app as Green, go to the Green line.

  2. We completed everything months ago, including payment method and photos, and got Green Line status.  We're sailing in 2 days and now, like Amanda, the QR code tells us (in green print) to proceed to the Blue Line, which I'm sure it didn't before.  Underneath the QR code it's still showing the Green Lane status.  A couple of  days ago, I had an email from Princess about boarding and things to do at least 24 hours before you sail, one of which was signing the passenger contract.  As there's no contract to be found on the app, that's rather difficult.  Perhaps that's what triggered the Blue Line.  Being Platinum, I'm used to getting expedited boarding, so if there are lines I shall just go to the Green one, show the Green status on the app and see what happens.

  3. We're on Sky Princess shortly.  On sea days we often like to find a quiet spot to read for an hour or so but looking at the deck plans I'm not sure where to find one.  On Crown and similar ships, we've always gone to Skywalkers.  Is there somewhere like that on Sky Princess?

Not so much a fault as a misunderstanding. When you click on an activity and say you’re going, it isn’t creating a reservation.  It has no purpose that Princess has shared with us.

I didn't actually realise that was where you signed up for an activity.  I just clicked on it to look and it said 'This event has reached full capacity'.  I'll know to ignore it another next time.

I'm thinking this is from the Journeyview on your app, and I just wanted to let you know that you probably don't have to worry about it being full in reality.  The headcount aspect of the app is still a work in progress.

Kamelia, yes, that's where I saw it.  If it's a fault on the app that explains it.

When is your cruise? The QR code does not appear until a few weeks before your cruise.

Our cruise is 4 weeks away, so I'll check occasionally, but as you and others have said it doesn't matter I don't need to worry about it now.  Thanks.

  7. Completed the Medallion app info, we're in the green lane and Ocean Ready but I can't find a boarding pass or QR code anywhere?  Should it be there?  As to the Medallion itself, we're in the UK so don't get sent it beforehand.  We've just ordered a basic Medallion, no pendant or wristband, so what form does it come in, loose or on a basic lanyard?  I see on boarding day there is a presentation on using the Medallion but according to the app it's already full.  I presume there'll be some sort of instructions on our stateroom TV as well.  Sorry for all these questions.

  8. I think you are worrying unnecessarily. The port officials at the gates will know when there is a cruise ship in port and what time it is due to sail. Why would they want to stop you? I only live a few miles from Avonmouth port and I have never seen or heard any reports of passengers having problems getting back to their ship. I'm sure the local papers would highlight any such occurrences.

  9. I loved your review, helenb. Thanks very much. One thing I hope you won't mind me explaining. Sunchokes are not 'artichokes from Jerusalem'. They are what we in the UK call Jerusalem artichokes but they have nothing to do with the city. The word Jerusalem in this case is a corruption of the word 'girasoles' which is French for sunflowers. The plants are members of the sunflower family (hence sunchokes).

  10. Hope it all works out for you. It wouldn't be a bad idea to be aware of later flights, though, just in case you have to make a last minute change. I say this because we sailed out of Southampton on Crown Princess in May this year and couldn't board till late afternoon because the ship had come into port 3 hours late, due to storms in the Bay of Biscay. So problems can occur, even at that time of year,

  11. I really would hate this. I am quite capable of introducing myself to others at the table. And it's really patronising to tell people to welcome their table mates, as if otherwise they would just ignore them. It's also not the place of the Maitre D' to announce where your cabin is. Wasn't there another similar thread on here recently, if not on the Princess forum, then on the Ask a Cruise Question forum? The overwhelming opinion there was against the suggestion.
