  1. We've had luck with Early Saver OBC in the past, but this next cruise ES was offered only briefly at a higher rate after we had already booked. Something told me not to switch, and good thing I didn't: The rate has only gone up, so we would have lost a couple of hundred just purchasing it.

  2. Hi all,

This will be our 9th Carnival cruise, but first on Splendor. Have a few questions for those familiar with her.

First, which dining room is YTD?

Can you order bottles of liquor from Room Service? We've been able to on other Carnival ships.

Anyone who's docked at San Juan in the afternoon, what is still open and safe in the evening? We like to sightsee and trinket shop, as well as stop for a snack and drink. I'm guessing we won't have time to do both forts, so which is the better one?

Thanks so much for your help.

  3. Don't worry about sending food back. Chances are, that plate was already pretty much prepared and just waiting for someone to order it.

I haven't had the surgery, but have always been able to only eat small amounts. However, I do love to sample different foods, so I order whatever I want, and send the rest for the fishies. I just tell the waiters up front, "small stomach, but I like to try things." They're cool with that.

By the way, I love that "second plate" idea.

Best of luck all and happy sailing.

  4. jhale,

We had aft wrap 8433 last Sept. on the Triumph. Fabulous!!! (Wish I knew how to upload pics on here.)

Can't afford one on the Pride this year as the wraps there are suites. But a regular aft will do. As long as I can sit and stare into the wake. :p

  5. PittsburghGirlie,

Try your local TAs. There's a TA in Scranton that runs an all inclusive every Sept. This year's is on the Miracle, 9-13 to 21 to San Juan, St. Thomas and Tortola. Right now all that's left are suites.

    The brochure states:

    ANNUAL DRINKS INCLUDED CRUISE

Special Feature - Carnival Brand drinks, along with beer, house wine & soda!

I checked the rates for a friend of mine that is going and it was about $200 more for the all-inclusive.

Sorry, but I guess I can't state the TA on here, but if we have this in Scranton, they must have it in civilized cities also. :D
