The U.S. State Department has issued a travel ban for the Mexican Sates that include Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan which are two ports on our Ruby Princess Cruise in February. There is also a Tier 2 Travel Warning for Cabo San Lucus, our other port. Thoughts? Itinerary change? No action? I trust Princess with our safety, but still...?

Just back from 20 days on the Royal. WIFI worked well. Much slower than land based systems. Subject to the vagaries of the satellite signal. If you're patient, it should meet your basic needs of keeping in touch.

We are on the Royal Princess sailing on January 19. In the past we have received a letter from the Cruise Director listing the entertainment offerings, but we have not received one for this cruise. The earlier letter from Lisa Ball says to looks back closer to the cruise date for this information. Not a deal breaker, of course, but we're just curious about the lack of information.

Can the Balcony door be opened in these cabins when the ship is at Sea or only when she is in port? I seem to find conflicting answers. Princess brochure states " Balcony access when in port only." Online chat indicates that is not the case. Thanks for your advice.

Can I take/use my own snorkel equipment on a ship's shore excursion or must I use the equipment provided by the tour operator?

What is the process for going through US Customs in Fort Lauderdale at the end of a cruise? We will have been to Princess Cays, Curacao and Aruba on the Crown Princess in mid-March.
