There are midship elevators on the port side.

If your status changes in the middle of a cruise do you have to wait to complete the cruise for your status to upgrade?

I used a tour agency more than local guide (i got local guides in city ports) but Ushuaia is risky because of the wind , and is not a city.
Those people are young guides, professionals, but they are not tour agencies with insurance policies.
I can recommend:
Edgar's tour group, tourguideushuaia, has sent me a notice that they do have insurance. They use travel agencies vans. If they did not have insurance they would not be able to enter the park.

I haven't written to them yet, but am wondering if anyone can give me a general idea of what the National Park + Prison Museum tour costs (minimum group size cost and full van cost) just so I can get an idea of what I'm in for. I'm just starting to research this.
We are on the Princess Star leaving Valparaiso on Feb. 15, 2016.
TIA. Ann
It is $180 pp and price goes down as more are added to tour. I think the minimum is 5 people.

Can't see how we add ourselves to your tour. It asks for payment but does not specify who or what group you are part of. Am I missing something?
After you make your payment I will let the tour group know. My email is on the roll call. Or if you feel more comfortable you can put it on the contact information on their web site.

Found your tour on the spreadsheet and added our names. I hope the price does go down as that is a little higher than I wanted to do. But it is exactly what we wanted to do so it should be worth it.
Hi Nancy,
You must go on the website tourguideushuaia.net and put down a deposit of $34 per person.

We had a wonderful tour with one of Edgardo Calaio's group of tour guides December 28, 2012 in Ushuaia Argentina.
We were a group of 14 from the Star Princess. Our guide had a well prepared speech. He passed around items/pictures during the bus ride. The small bus was very comfortable with an aisle down the middle of the bus for easy ingress and egress. Any walking we did I would rate as easy. The National Park is a must to see. Even though we were there on a rainy day it is a beautiful park.
I would definitely recommend Edgar guides. You can contact him via his email edgardocalaio@gmail.com.
I am arranging a tour with Edgar for March 7, 2016 of the National Park and City Tour and Prison Museum. We are cruising on the Infinity. Come join us.

Does anyone know of a good private tour company in Lima?

I had 5 days there in 2010 before my first polar trip and 10 days there - 5 either side of my 3rd polar trip last year, and am boarding an expedition ship in 12 hours that will disembark there in a month and can't wait to see the stunning channel and snow capped mountains again.
I have yet to run out of things to see and do. I find the whole region stunning and the convict and indigenous history fascinating. The museums are excellent. The people are lovely and friendly. The lamb is to die for - as is the chocolate. A helicopter ride over the channel and the town and the mountains is beyond compare (and I do helicopters all over the world so am hard to impress). The Pira tour out to the original Bridges property, laboratory and island full of magenellic penguins is well worth the long bus ride. Also did a brilliant 2 seater plane ride over the mountains and channel.
In winter it's a massively popular ski season with athletes from all over the world using its extended season to train.
The sun doesn't set til 10pm so it's definitely never felt "dark and dank" to me.
Postcards - mine sent to myself and to friends always seem to take 6 weeks on the dot to Australia.
Can you tell me the name of the helicopter tour company you used?

We will be sailing on Oasis of the Seas. If you buy the premium or ultimate beverage package does that include bottle water? Is there a dining option that if you buy 3 specialty dining options you get a discount? Thank you

We got our cabin assignment for our Summit cruise. We are in 6010 forward. Way forward, but I think it will be OK. Already ordered new luggage tags, so I don't want to change it again. Unless they would upgrade us to something better. One can always hope for that, but never happened before.
Thanks for your help.
Gwen :)
We will have this same cabin on the Constellation. What is your opinion of this cabin? Thank you.
Is Celebrity the new Carnival?
in Celebrity Cruises

Since you are a Carnival cruiser just curious why you picked Celebrity and not Princess. We have no loyalty to any cruise line and pick our cruises usually by itinerary or because a club we belong to picked the cruise. i will say that Celebrity is our over all favorite but you can't beat Hal or Princess for itinerary.
