  1. Absolutely worth it!! Just remember there are so many more places to explore on the ship! We stayed in the Havana area most of the time!wishing now we would have explored others areas of ship! Lol.. does give me an excuse to sail on vista again though

  2. As previously stated, similar to the Conquest Class in many areas. Deck 5/Promenade Deck is same layout at the Conquest Class ships. The Lido Deck area has the biggest differences. Mid-Ship pool where all the activities are located has the sliding dome (sliding dome is Aft on Conquest Class) and the pool deck is not tiered on the Splendor. Deck 10 above the mid-ship pool is enclosed and has hot tub ....interesting.

The Serenity Deck on the Splendor is located forward on Deck 12, as it is on Conquest Class; however, on the Splendor the Serenity Deck is not walkable all the way around and does not have any hammocks or hot tubs.

The burger/grill is located in the same place, by the main pool. It is not Guys Burgers but there is an additional topping bar. The Pizza is also located by the mid-ship main pool on the Splendor as opposed to Aft on the Conquest Class. There is no Blue Iguana but yes, a Burrito station is part of the Lido Buffet daily.

My favorite part of the Splendor is the fabulous open air Aft pool deck. This is similar to the Spirit Class or Dream Class ships. The deck is not adult only but the pool and 2 hot tubs are for adults only. The food back here is Tandoor (fabulous!!) and Deli and there is no ice cream machine ..... on all 3 of my cruises on the Splendor there were barely any kids back here ever....occasionally with parents to get deli or Tandoor but it was so rare that you actually noticed them. The views from this deck are awesome!!!

The Spa is an upgraded Cloud 9. In addition to the usual spa fare there is a Thalasso pool and a sauna circuit. I had a Spa Cabin on one of my Splendor sailings and very much enjoyed the amenities offered. The number of people able to use this is limited for each sailing so that it does not get to crowded and remains a peaceful, relaxing experience.

When was the last time you were on splendor?

When I was on conquest in April they changed the adult aft pool to allow kids & there were a ton.. it was spring break..I was told it was changed on all ships that had the adult aft pool.. then a few weeks later I read where they had changed it back to adult only on splendor... I haven't been able to find any more info since the one post... I loved the adult aft pool & even book a room aft so it's easy access... I am on splendor in October for 2 sailings so I am hoping for adult only!

    Thanks

  3. Do not pick one near the hot tubs! We were on deck 6 right above hot tubs and every time I would go out to relax I actually felt like I was intruding on the people in hot tub... Did not use my balcony very much that trip....

  4. Unless my PVP got it completely wrong (I cant long in to my carnival acct from work), my offer is comletely different. PVP told me the "$25 a room rates" were only from the West coast. He told me with my casino offer, I could sail on a 5 day (to Freeport/Nassau) from Charleston for $515 on March 1 in an interior room with $25 OBC. Not worth it for me.

I would look under your offers when you can... There were a lot of different cruises on mine..

  5. We are on the Miracle 2/21/15 purchased in November. Cruise cost $1583.10, this cruise was among the offers. So I'm putting on my cruise grin and pushing away the knowledge we could have done it for 465.10. Because who knows, perhaps if we hadn't booked this we wouldn't have gotten any offers. I'm just happy to be on the Southern route in April.:D

I got OBC for mine.. I was booked early saver.. So if you were booked under early saver call carnival.

  6. Thanks for the heads up. Just got $1558 OBC by switching to this offer.

Did you book early saver? I also got the offer but have 2 cruises already booked and paid for in March.. ( early saver)Can I switch to casino offer?

I did check and its offered for 1 of the 2 I have booked!! TIA

  7. Myself and my my hubby both got email for rate pc4... The email says I get $500 and hubby gets $300..so I don't think the code has anything to do with how much cash you get... Also hubby gambles more $ than I do when we cruise together so I don't think that matters either.... Must be the luck of the draw!!! Hubby can't get time off work to go so I'm still trying to find someone to go with me!! 😄

  8. I started using e cigs 2 years ago and have not had a tobacco since... I am one that will use it around the ship but never in the dining room or theater.. That being said I have recently started buying non vapor, they are the same thing but as long as inhaled releases no vapor so no one can see it... So if everyone is complaining about the vapor I guess I could use mine!!!

  9. I just got off the freedom on Sunday and was also on deck 9.. They had 2 washers and 4 dryers.. You use your sail & sign card now so no need for quarters which was nice... But the machine to buy detergent was out of order when I went.. I had brought a few tide pods so it didn't matter to me.. The dryer said 99 minutes to dry.. Do not believe it. I left my first load in the whole time and could barely get my clothes out because they were on fire!!! Lol

  10. We left our kids ds(16) dd(19) last year for 8 days.. They actually did pretty good.. Remember teenagers will be teenagers... We used free wifi in port to get in contact with them... We're leaving again on Saturday for 8 days again and if you have a smart phone you can download an app called viber(you both have to have it) it allows you to make voice calls using wifi so this time were going to try that... Also I have verizon and it's only .50 to sent text and .05 to receive we also use that.. It doesn't cost a lot to give us piece of Mind..we also have family in area and tell the kids they will be stopping by to check on things but never tell them when that would be..
