Glad to see anyone who had a very nice trip (that is, after all, the idea of a trip away). You will have to let us know how you avoided the lines.

 

Sorry I bashed your cruise. Maybe our needs are a little different. On a cruise, especially a crossing, we like to have a nice, relaxing time. Noisy, loud pax are just not our cup of tea. Not that our way is better than theirs, just not for us. That is why we never, ever sail the Caribbean.

 

And, honestly, we have dozens and dozens of cruises where we had absolutely nothing we didn't like, so that isn't true. Have never, in our 70+ sailings, complained once about a trip. Maybe that indicates how very different this one was from our experience, which may vary from yours. Wasn't even going to say anything (even though we talked to people who had exactly the same experience as us) until I saw that someone else brought up the same issues and didn't want them to feel like the Lone Ranger and face the cheerleaders.

14133. But they are all not the same with no furniture. I didnt even mention the crashing noises over your head at 3:30 am and 6:00 am. Deck washing and then unstacking, dropping and sliding of pool loungers. About 1 1/2 hours of loud noise every night. They did try to help but did not get a full nights sleep in 15 days. The couple 2 doors down from us complained so long that they moved them.

But in reality, as big an issue as the noise was, it was not our no. 1 complaint.

I was on this cruise and i thought it was a very nice trip didn't see all the issues mentioned above yes you always have some things you don't like but nothing worth bashing all in all i would do the same trip again!!

That’s also why, if you play slot machines, you should make a habit of sitting on the aisle or main walking area. Those machines hit more often because they are more visible to people walking around when they hit. It’s good advertising. :)

Unfair comment. Bathroom layout is not really a thought about topic.

I too have been a member for many years and recently took my first NCL cruise. I have perused these NCL boards for almost a year and the topic of bathroom layout has not been discussed.

 

On my cruise, I was surprised by how small the mini suites were and how small the balcony was. None of this was discussed either.

Bathroom topic is one off the most talked about on a weekly if not daily basis and the inward design not many ocean views so sorry yes it is no excuses for a person who is on these boards not to know.

Never been a ship I considered dirty 20 plus cruises don't understand where this is coming from as I have sailed many different lines and not really noticed a dirty ship.

I have this cabin for upcoming TA in april and I always do my research been on this ship before only feel a little vibrations nothing to be worried about the room is close to the rear stairs makes it easy to get around if you don't mind a little stairs

Check if Mambo Chilango is still playing too. Not cover rock but as close as Carnival now gets to anything remotely resembling Caribbean music, and cumbia is very danceable.

Not sure who the cover band is or if there is one, but a recent Liberty review noted that there wer several music lisitng in the FunTimes, only 2 without the DJ prefix were "New Dawn" and "High Rise". There is a New Dawn cover band out of the Pac NW that's been a round a long time, not sure if they do cruises or if this is another New Dawn. High Rise is a quartet with a female lead that does play on Carnival Ships, they were on the Spirit last year, covering everything from 50s to Disco to Metal. They have some You Tubes out.

I'm really interested to hear how they are. I looked them up on You Tube. A little different than we are maybe used to but I will be happy with some good music no matter what. Hopefully they will be set up in one of the lounges.... LOVED this part of our last cruise :D
