  1. Found the promo code! It’s in the roll call. For june 5 Saona excursion it’s SUNN99 and the deadline to file is May 29. For June 19 it’s TINA99. I just emailed my promo code for june 5th and let’s see if seavis will honor it. I guess I will find out the day I will pay the rest of my bill

  2. Ramon from Seavis Tours who’s in charge of promo codes e mailed me that I’m entitled to a 10% discount on our tour june 5th but i need to find the promo code in order to qualify. I have been looking at their FB site and this forum but apparently nobody posted the code or I’m unable to find it anywhere. Anyway with or without promo code, six of us are still goin. See u all!

  3. Thanks klfrodo for your input. Much appreciated. Its a bad habit of mine to just scan through the contents of the contract without really reading and understanding its contents. Its just so easy to click accept and be done with it. Valuable lesson indeed. Next time I will pay more attention . CC and this thread is a valuable resource.

  4. We cruise Carnival and always purchase their travel protection plan. Unfortunately a member of my family who is not cruising with us passed away unexpectedly a week before our cruise and we have to cancel. I spoke to a Carnival rep and she explained that the only refund I will receive will be port, tax , Carnival's shore excursions and gratuities. I'm trying to find out if I'm due for anything or if I can reschedule my cruise but her point is clear that my cruise amount is now non refundable. But because I purchased travel protection I was referred to Aon Affinity . Aon rep will not discuss or lead you to believe that you will get anything back. She said that Aon will have to receive all necessary documents to evaluate and then will make their decision. So I requested the forms to be sent to my e-mail and made sure I have a claim number for future correspondence. All paperworks that Aon requested were submitted online on June 16,2017. Yesterday July 3rd, I received all my refund checks 100%+. I was so relieved that I purchase insurance every time we cruise. Is it case to case basis? I don't know. Maybe my situation is one criteria that I will be refunded 100%. I have yet to read the fine prints in my contract. This is just my experience with Carnival travel protection that I'm happy to share.

  5. We love to cruise and my wife likes the occasional stops at the casino. She has not reached the points necessary for offers to a "bounce back" cruise . So on our next cruise in June my plan is to set aside our Cheers budget and get her shot at the casino slots to earn points and hopefully an offer. She don't drink but a drink and a cruise for me is my "fun". Will this work ? Is she going to play long hours and miss on doing our excursions? What are the number points to reach before any offerings? Are casino players has tiered groups like The Carnival's VIFP loyalty program? Any advice is greatly appreciated and hope everyone has a nice cruise vacation! By the way I'm asking this advice while I'm in a coffee shop at our local indian casino[emoji4][emoji12]

  6. Booked june 2016 for june 3 2017 for 8 days Southern Caribbean Spa Balcony Room for 2 on deck 11.

    Cruise rate= $3548.00

    Taxes, port, grats= $234.50

    Vacation protection=$318.00

    total= $4100.50

onboard credit= $100.00 for booking while on cruise with Magic.

I booked for the same room category adjacent to my room for my friend a month later and the total room rate, tax, port, grats, insurance went up to $4,487.70.

Checked the latest room rate as of today and still showing same rate. If the rate goes down I hope someone will post it so I can get onboard credit for me and my friend. More for drinks and photos!:)

  7. I booked this excursion thru Exotic Eco Adventures last April for our June cruise. When i logged in their website (exoticecoadventures.com) today it was blocked with privacy error.

" Your connection is not private. Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www. exoti*******daytrips.com".

Have you experienced this issues with your bookings? Any issues with the tour company? With the good reviews I read from CC and tripadvisor regarding Goff's Caye, I don't want to miss this excursion. Tried the other website .....daytrips.com and is also blocked.

  8. I received a another new email from Almaplena Resort. My family has been on a wait list for few days and is now available for us to enjoy when we dock in June...You have to pay the total amount before you receive detailed instruction on how to get there. Transportation included. 100% cancellation if ship did not dock or cancel 7 days advance. Thanks for misugirly and idahospud for your review of this place. 3 cruise ships will be docking that day that I'm looking forward to a nice quiet relaxation by the beach. See ya.

  9. sent an email for reservation but they are sold out on the day we're docking. I was put on a waiting list. resort email me back within few hours after i sent my request.:(

  10. I have put down a deposit for my SIL and I to go to Mr. Sanchos resort in Cozumel the first part of May. Does anyone have any advice/info on transportation to and from the resort? Any reviews of the resort? TIA!

I also have reservation for AI Mr Sanchos in June... pls post your reviews and how much is the taxi ride for 5 ppl. Thanks.

  11. I've sailed the Inspiration several times. Also several more times on the Paradise and Elation.

I'll also be on the Imagination this Sunday for her first West Coast cruise.

The Imagination is more like the Inspiration than the Paradise and Elation

She and the Inspiration have the waterworks on 11aft, replacing the aft pool. Neither have the slide into the Lido pool.

Both have the single shelf in the bathroom, replacing the medicine cabinet.

By midFebruary both will be serving the new dinner menu.

Both will be hosting the new Concert series periodically this year.

The main difference is days sailed.

    Both do the same itin.

Inspiration will be sailing a M-F, F-M schedule.

Imagination will be sailing primarily a Th-Sun, Sun-Th schedule. In February there will be a few Sat-Wed, Wed-Sat itins.

we will have a short spring break cruise with the kids aboard the Inspiration and a school reunion cruise aboard Imagination on November... been out of circulation for a while... my last log was last March 2010... but I'm curious about the new dinner menu and what changes are being made. This is my first time to be on a concert series cruise.. any reviews? Thanks
