  1. I'm booked on a Royal Caribbean cruise that leaves March 15th. Went to fill in the online check in info today and realized that my passport expires at the end of June. I know when flying to Europe, etc. that your passport has to be valid for at least 6 months past the end of your trip. Is that the same for a closed loop cruise out of the U.S. if you are using your passport as your form of ID? I can get a renewal expedited, but between the overnight shipping fees and the fee for expediting the renewal it would end up costing almost double. I do have a certified copy of my birth certificate and my driver's license, but hate to just use that in case of an emergency that would require flying home early.

  2. The first cruise my sisters & I ever went on was on the Tropicale. In fact, that was the first time my 1/2 sister ever saw the ocean. I remember her jumping in the water for our swim with the stingrays excursion in Grand Cayman and yelling about her eyes burning and the water being salty and thinking she must be dumber than a post, until I remembered she'd never been in the ocean before! We still keep in touch with our table mates from that cruise and travel to Indianapolis to see them every few years.

Funny thing is, that ship is absolutely tiny compared to most of the other ships I've sailed on since, but it sure seemed HUGE at the time!

  3. You might also look at Dillard's. The past few years the stores here have carried a line of swimsuits sized by bra sizes and most of their tankini tops have underwires built in (the brand is coco something - can't remember exactly off the top of my head). I am a DD and that is pretty much the only brand of swimsuit I have found with enough support in a tankini style top.

  4. Not a good week. Scale shows +1, but I'm not sure if that's from overindulging on Friday or due to PMS bloating. We had theatre tickets for Friday and ate at Cheesecake Factory beforehand and I was NOT good and am sure I blew through all my extra weekly points. Am making sure to be better this week though. I am taking the dog quail hunting Sunday and I'm looking forward to being able to add 4 or 5 straight hours of hiking to my activity points to the total for the week!

  5. Well, week 2 was definitely harder than week 1, but I managed to not go over any of my points and was very happy this morning to see I've lost another 3 pounds. This week will be really hard though as I've got 3 days I'll be stuck eating dinner out. I'll be happy if I don't gain anything back this week!

I did buy a WW cookbook off Amazon and that has helped a LOT. We've kind of made a game of trying a new dish every night and surprisingly a lot of them have been better than our usual dinner "staples".

  6. I just started again The first of the year. Lost 4 pounds last week! Did not use all my points most days though as I've been trying really hard to go for fresh fruit and veggies for snacks. Goal is to lose at least 15 by April, when we're going to Disneyland for sissy's 30th birthday and at least 25 by our next cruise at the end of June.
