Has anyone here - cruised on Oasis this spring out of Bayonne. NJ. We are doing the "7 Night Perfect Day Bahamas Cruise". Departing May, 22. What night is "Lobster Tail" night on this itinerary?

We are a party of 6 (4 fully vaccinated adults, a 10 month old baby and 4 year old unvaccinated toddler. I ordered a 6 pack of the Abbott BinaxNOW Covid-19 Antigen home tests for the adults. The adults are going to complete the home proctored test the Saturday afternoon before embarkation. Good so far? Thoughts...

Where am really confused. is what is required for the unvaccinated 4 year old? What, Where & When: What is required (PCR Test), where do we get that test completed and When should toddler be tested to get the results back in time for the Sunday embarkation.

Sailing RCCL Allure next week. I was hoping to bring a pre-set amount of cash on board for Black Jack. Would like to play after dinner and the shows for an hour or so a couple of nights.

Questions:

Can you bring cash to the table?

Will my lack of experience (I will watch a while before joining a table) upset other players?

What would be the lowest bet "table" on an Oasis class shift between 10:00PM -12:00PM?

Any other tips?

Thank you, Bob! Follow up question. So we are meeting private tours in St. Martin and Nassau and both requested we contact them when we disembark to simplify first contact. So, based on your directions those calls should be made onboard the ship shortly before we head to the gangway?

My concern: My very first cruise, I made the mistake of briefly using my cell phone while out at sea. It cost me a couple of bucks more than I was comfortable with. Since then, when I cruise my phone is turned off till I am back in the cruise port. Next week's family cruise on the Allure, all 3 in our party have purchased the Deluxe Bev Package and VOOM.

I believe on board each of us connect to the Royal Wi-Fi wireless network and enter our code/pin number to access VOOM. Do we need to set up any special phone settings to avoid unexpected charges? Can anyone guide me on how to avoid those fees? Also, when off the Allure on shore in the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Martin will VOOM work and if so are there any worries of incurring unintended fees?

The OBC can be used for purchase ahead of time, you do not have to wait until you're on the ship.

Not to come off as a jerk, but this having to "wait and see" when the credits show up on my planner thing is very aggravating. I redeemed my points on 2/21/18 and today is 4/2/18. I cruise to relax, not stress about my credit showing up because "maybe the redemption staff is backed up". I would like to use my OBC to book excursions before the cruise via my planner. In my opinion this is very unprofessional for both the credit card company and Royal Caribbean.

If the redeemed $300.00 OBC shows up on my cruise planner prior to 4/29/18, can these credit card rewards be used on pre-cruise purchases or must the OBC be used only when on the ship?

On 2/21/2018,I redeemed 25,000 and 5,000 points for a total of $300 of onboard credits for an April 29, 2018 sailing on Allure. They have not yet shown up on my cruise planner.

I checked the email sent from receipt@managerewardsonline.com and confirmed the credit was applied to the correct reservation (it was) and called their (888) 305-4626 number to find why the MyCruise Reward Redemption OB credits have not been applied to my reservation. All I got was vague promise of it will happen at some point but they do not know when and I should just call back. I think that is a poor system; after 5 weeks the $300 should show on my cruise planner?

Too bad it’s not on a Tuesday as Harmony Nights music,craft and food celebration happens then during high season and they are starting it in mid-February this year. I am a little surprised as there are far less visitors and islanders as usual.

 

I would look up reviews of Rainbow beach restaurant in Grand Case. There are not many places open on the beach but I heard that they are.

Has anybody been up to Grand Case since the ships started returning? We really love that place. I was supposed to be there right now in a 2 week condo rental.

Yankee Girl, we did the RCCL Pearl Island - Allure of the Sea excursion last May. Had a terrific time. But; the lay out of the Pearl Island is pretty much as you described. There are plenty of loungers. I am not sure if the stairs to and from the small but really nice beach would work for your mom, 3 months Post Op? Check with her physician and or rehab therapist for what she will be able to do in April. I will say; you get a nice calm boat tour, a decent lunch, friendly staff and very clean bathrooms on the excursion.

RODEWAY INN & SUITES FORT LAUDERDALE AIRPORT & CRUISE PORT

I found this value - budget minded option, desired by some cruisers. The Rodeway Inn has good on-line reviews and is recommended by https://eatsleepcruise.com/2017/01/b...e-cruise-port/. It seems to offer want we need; clean rooms, convenient location to Airport/Cruise Terminal, and options for food & beverage. We always take a cab from airport to the hotel and then an Uber to cruise terminal. For us, just more convenient and less hassle, then hotel sponsored transportation.

I have booked (2) double queen rooms for our party of (4) for Saturday, 4/28/18. All in at $125.00 per room - $62.50 per person. Well worth avoiding potential flight delay drama on the day of departure! I will re-post a review of the Rodeway Inn upon return from our 4/29 - 5/6 Allure of the Seas cruise.
