Again don’t wish to be alarming, but in March UK exits Brexit, what the EU will do to Persons in the UK for travelling on to the EU is anyone’s guess. Let alone animals. So if QM2 is going forward to France or Germany from Southampton . I would take it.
Pennbank, any new info on animals and Brexit situation?

Thanks gkerlin, my cat will have to have her own suitcase ;)

For those of you who have sailed with your pets, what personal items are the pets allowed? Can I bring the cat's bed and some toys? How about food bowls and do they provide litter boxes and litter?
-
Thanks for the update, Pennbank. I guess if worse comes to worst, we can always cancel.

Thank you gkerlin and everyone who who has provided light on this process. I have printed out your post and highlighted portions we need to really get right. Not getting on the ship is a nightmare I have been having this week and the more info I have, the less chance of mistake. That said, I shared your blog with my friends and after reading it, they all think we are nuts!

Thank you tag! I will ask my vet is she is a USDA vet and if not, I hope there is one not too far away.
-
gkerlin, I forgot to ask you if you could explain this to me, will my vet know what it is?

gkerlin, your blog is both fascinating and terrifying at the same time! I hope I can get the pet paperwork done without any hiccups, reading what you went through will make me take it seriously!

Thank you Ferretworld, you have perfectly described life on board for a cat for me. We are booked for the Oct. 17th 2019 sailing with one kennel, we are #1 on the wait list for kennel #2 so I hope we will clear the list soon.
I love the picture of you cat gazing out of the window, so regal!

Thanks tag for the first hand approval of the kennel. How loud was it on your cruises, was there lots of barking?
-
Pennbank, from what I have read, the government has pledged to kept the Passports for pets the same as it is now. I am not sure how solid that pledge is but I sure hope it will be the case.

Thank you Hattie, there was a video at your link that was quite amusing, everyone disembarking in a pet parade. :D The post also answered my main question, every one ques up at 7:30 and leaves the ship at the same time. Mimi read the post as well:

We are moving to Europe from the US next year and the only way to get our cat there comfortably was to take advantage of the kennel service on the Queen Mary NYC to Southhampton cruise.
Has anyone traveled with their pets and have some tips for me? One of my main concerns is what time we can disembark in Southampton so I can arrange for the car service to pick us up for our ride through the Chunnel. Do the pet people all leave at the same time or do I sit around waiting with my cat in her pet carry-on?
Also, do we embark the normal way or is there a special procedure for that as well? I will appreciate any insight on this, getting humans to and from a cruise is sometimes a hassle, this will be a totally new experience for me with a cat!

We are booked on the 5/20 Norwegian Fjords cruise out of Dublin and are very excited about this bucket list journey. Since this port is not set up for large ships using it as a home port the embarkation process currently involves being taken by your cab to a building a few city blocks from where the Eclipse is actually docked. The solution (at least right now) is to check in and drop your bags in what is called Terminal 7 and then being bussed over to the ship itself (you are not allowed to walk due to truck traffic).
Thanks for the helpful info, luv2cruisecats. Will a Celebrity ship dock at the same place an NCL ship docks? Since it is a small port, I am guessing maybe there is only room for one ship and all ships dock in the same spot?

I called Celebrity to see why the internet discount was showing up as only 10% in my cart. She explained that the discount is applied to the onboard price of the internet not the price shown online.
-
I put it in my cart and the price does change but only by 10%, guess I will call Celebrity and see how to qualify for the 20% discount.
-
My cruise qualifies for the 72 hour 20% off internet, excursions etc. When I look at the price of the unlimited internet there is an arrow pointing to the total that says "Price shown reflects your discount" but the cost is the same as before the sale. Should I call Celebrity or does the correct cost show up when I check out?

Miaminice, could you tell me more about Skyroam? Is the connection reliable and I see on their website you can rent the device instead of buying it, which option did you choose?
-
Thanks Luvcrusn, I found it and it does work!
Editing to add, when I clicked on order history, it took me to "no upcoming cruises" page :-(
I just logged out and back in, repeated all your steps again and there is no order history button at the top of the page.
-
Luvcrusn, where is the order history button? I don't see it when I go to manage my reservation?
-
Thanks Wendy. Jelayne, I will take you up on the roll call offer, thanks to you as well!

I can see on my cruise planner that some excursions are listed for my June 2018 cruise. There only seems to be a few in some of the ports. Closer to the cruise do they add more excursions? For example, the port of La Havre/Paris only has 2 excursions to Paris. Both appear to be identical to me  I am hoping more will be added?

Thanks Ncklhaus, I am glad I don't need to worry about it since they are provided freely!
BirdTravels, I was thinking they were unbranded kcup style cups. Sorry if I didn't clearly state that.
-
I am assuming that NCL provides the coffee for the coffee makers? If you wanted to bring extra to have on hand, would k cups work?
Balcony/minisuite has a single cup (not K-cup) coffee maker.Suites have a Lavassa coffee maker.

Thanks Pennbank, guess it will be more wait and see for us.
