Can you leave cases in cabin whilst taking breakfast and then collect them before 8am and self disembark with all your luggage?  

Another question as we are moving to Caribbean Tier this year.  As well as priority embarkation do we also get early disembarkation?  Thanks.

We are thinking of trying self disembarkation for our forthcoming cruise on Oriana. We dock at Mayflower Cruise Terminal. Any tips on rising/breakfast/managing cases/etc between the two of us?

We have cruised on Oriana many times. I have not been on since the re-fit but we cruise on her in November. I keep hoping that the hideous foliage will be replaced soon. I cannot understand why anyone thought that was an improvement on the glass fountain (even though it has been out of operation). Also I understand that the hot stone beds have been removed - why?

How many sockets?

Is the hairdryer in a drawer or the bathroom?

Is there a teapot?

Where is the iron and ironing board kept?

Can we eat breakfast in alternative dining venue?

Hello Marbellina. Many thanks for sharing your thoughts about your cruise on the forum. My family and I enjoy cruising as there is something for everyone. Whilst hubby and daughter are running/in the gym I can wander/read/people watch.

Hi Gareth. P&O will have sold cabins to Early Saver and now Saver bookings since April. Cabins are still showing as 'available' because P&O have not allocated cabin numbers to these bookings. They keep them showing as a Select booker may have a preferred cabin and be willing to pay for choosing the location. I 'watch' cruises. When the price is the lowest I feel it will drop for the cabin grade I am looking at I book. Early saver can be the best option as only 15% deposit and you can book a cabin grade (thus avoiding metal fronted balconies/shower only) and you can make changes if needed. I booked our Early Saver mini-suite 26 weeks prior to sailing. The price is now £300 each more with 3 months to sailing.

Jo's cruise tours on YouTube are the best. Jo however has not posted on this forum or uploaded any videos for over a year. Anyone in touch with Jo?

We got priority disembarkation at 8.30am on Arcadia a few weeks ago. You could choose later time though if you wanted.

 

And now on Arcadia they reserve Ocean Grill for breakfast for Suite passengers. We went there everyday and it was a lovely experience.

We haven't cruised on Arcadia to date. I am considering an Autumn cruise and will be booking a balcony cabin to sleep 3. My question is if you could book any balcony cabin on Arcadia (must sleep 3) which one would you book and why? I look forward to your replies. Thanks. Amanda

We have just booked a cruise on Oriana dep. end August 2015. Cruise personalised is providing the option to book tables in the Beach house or Ocean Grill. Anyone know when Ocean Grill is due to change to Sindhi? I thought the changes to Oriana's select dining options were for 2016/17 but seems like Sorrento is to be replaced soon with the Beach House. Any comments on Beach House menus?

We love the short tennis matches on the other ships. Will be disappointed if non on Azura. If you have a sea-day horizon newspaper please could you post what activities are offered in the sports court. A scanned copy would be lovely ;-)

Thanks for your updates on azure after her refit. We haven't sailed on her before (always sailed on Oriana or Aurora). We are planning to sail on her in October however to the med.

A couple of questions if you could answer would be great:

1. Were short tennis competitions scheduled on sea days?

2. What is the daytime food in the buffet restaurants like? my family like to eat healthily

3. What times does the glasshouse and sindhu serve food in the day? we do not tend to eat until 3pm.

Yes it worked in our outside e-deck cabin last summer. Compose all text off-line before copying and pasting in to email. Also we downloaded all our emails using the Wi-Fi and then read them off-line. Love oriana. Have a great cruise.

Thanks for your replies. We will opt for superior deluxe for the sofa bed and bath! if anyone has a sea day copy of the horizon newspaper that will list short tennis competitions.

An extra question. Do Verona and venezia serve the same food at lunchtime? do you have any comments about daytime eating?

We have cruised almost every year since 1992 with P&O. Always cruised on Oriana or Aurora. This year I have persuaded my husband and 22 yr old daughter to try Azura out of school holidays. We will share a 3 berth cabin. I have done lots of research over the last week including looking up blogs, reviews, videos (thanks Jo, product review and cruisa), photos but still have questions!

1. What drawer / storage space is there in balcony and deluxe balcony staterooms? (my husband and daughter are runners and bring loads of kit!)

2. Does the gym have exercise mats?

3. How does the planet bar compare to crows nest?

4. Are there short tennis competitions on sea days?

Finally any observations on the advantages or disadvantages of opting for a deluxe balcony over a balcony to accommodate 3 adults (we are small!) would also be appreciated.

The planning is lots of fun :-)
