  1. I would swap each night with the baby. I have a family of 5 and our first cruise my wife and daughter had a room and me and the boys had a room. We were together all day and when it was time for bed we had more room and two bathrooms. It really worked out by great. My daughter was 8 and our boys were 5. We had to have two rooms for the ship we were on and the itinerary we wanted. We are now platinum and have always booked two rooms. The kids have there own room now....17, 15 and 15. Side note we tried 5 in one room, ONCE, it worked out but no room. Thank god for the balcony.

  2. Requirement. There are two Hostesses who get your cabin number. They print off a small receipt (like store) it has your name and table assignment. You have alchemy bar, Red Frog and another large sitting area. I liked the system....when it was your time you walked down...which was around the corner from the hostesses. When u go down stairs they see your receipt and take you to your table.

  3. Helpful hints: During breakfast and lunch go to aft section. Havana Bar area (huge area) to eat breakfast and lunch and you have two speciality restaurants back there that serve omelette's in the morning and during lunch serves items (free) from pay dinner menus. Never crowded......the ship does get crowded by we laid out by the water works....usually no chair issues. The shows and comedy, need to arrive early. Casino smoking area is crowded....nuisance but no big deal. Loved it last year and booked again this year. YTD dining you get better dining room in my opinion...aft...always request table in very back....

  4. Sunshine does have a check in section on deck 5 (where u get a ticket) was on last year and again this year. The check in is less crowded and you have areas to sit and wait until your time. Walk down two decks or take elevator and you are in the aft restaurant bottom floor. Top section reserved for assigned dining. To me BEST system for YTD. Get there around 5:30-5:45 will walk right down to your table.

  5. We were on the Sunshine last summer! We loved the ship and all the upgrades. I cruise for two things relaxation and time with my family. The ports add to both. People complain about crowding at pool, go to back and there are plenty of seats and better places to cool off with all the water activities at the water works. Crowding during lunch and breakfast, the Havana Bar area is never crowded. We had YTD always ready by 5:30. Got our same table, waited in Red Frog and got our foosball game on and once they were ready for us we went downstairs for supper. People complain about time spent in dining room, I love it, time with my family discussing the day and laughing making memories. There were some buckets for dripping water. An occasional smell of "what's that". We loved the Sunshine so much we are going back for eastern trip this summer. Will there be things I don't like YEP, buts it's all about relaxation and family time. ImageUploadedByForums1423072278.222519.jpg.530f5a05973565556b7f3bc2fd24b8ab.jpg

  6. Just got off ship on Jan 4-11....I am platinum and if the Splendor had the 2.0 upgrades it would be my favorite. The pink panther circles everywhere where odd but loved the layout. 3 pools, all meeting rooms were bigger then most, the covered pool area was nice and never seemed crowded. The serenity area was not as nice as others but was quiet.

  7. Ours is great, he always calls around the first of the year asking if we are going again over the summer. He has all my information, DD214 on file for military rates...all the kids information. He knows we want balcony and a room directly across, upper decks, port side. I have used him for the last 7 years, never an issue. I have his cell and work number, we had an issue several years past with a family member dropping out and he took care of on his off day. PVP's make booking so much easier to me!!!!
