My husband and I are leaving for our cruise on the Allure of the Seas 4/22/2018 in an Owners Suite. I emailed the concierge today at 12:23 PM and promptly received an answer at 5:20 PM from the concierge Nancy Chu letting us know she had done what we requested. So if you have a special request and are leaving in a week, try emailing them, iIt worked for us. On prior cruises in either an Owners Suite or Grand Suite, the concierge had emailed us 1 week before the cruise. I was just a little anxious about what I was requesting of her.

Thanks for answering the question. I thought there had to be another reason why you received them.
-
That the same question I thought of when I saw the bags on the bed. I know that Celebrity gives you nice bags when you are in a Suite, but I haven’t received any fron Royal Caribbean. Maybe it’s. A Crown and Anchor thing.

My husband and I were in a Grand Suite 9/ 2017 and were able to make our reservations for Coastal Kitchen when we received our email from the Concierge on the Allure of The Seas one week before our sail date. It should be the same since Harmony is also an Oasis Class ship.

When we went on our shortened cruise due to Hurrican3 Irma, both of the concierge personnel were in the Suite Lounge.
-
Sorry we will be on our Hurricane Irma do over cruise 4/22/2018.
-
We will be on our Hurricane Irmado over cruise 4/22/2013 on the Allure of the Seas. We will book our dinner times when the concierge emails us.
-
Sorry I was away from my iPad. Went out to dinner. We had a grand Suite.
-
When we received our email from the Suite concierge 1 week before our cruise on the Allure, we were able to make our dinner reservations for the week. It was all taken care of before our cruise.

The rudest thing that ever happened to my husband and I when we were on a shortened cruise due to Hurricane Irma on the Allure was when we were told by a Royal Caribbean worker at embarkation to go to the elevator and go on the ship since we were on a Suite. We got on the elevator with 2 ladies. One of the ladies looked at us and said “You just need to get off their s elevator and go and sit over there pointing to where a large group of people were sitting. I just looked at her and said excuse me. Mot husband said I don’t see a Royal Caribbean sign on you. She said I am a Travel Agent.
We thought it was very rude of her to assume that we should have not been allowed to board the ship the same time she was allowed to do so. We were stressed due to the a Hurricane and were not going to allow her rude attitude ruin our shortened cruise—-and it didn’t

We heard from the concierge about a 1 week from ou4 cruise and I requested then the time we wanted to eat in Coastal Kitchen. It was taken care of.

So sorry for all the tragedies you have been facing lately. Your good attitude that you are showing will help you as you go through your cancer. We have stayed in a promenade room on the Adventure of the Seas and did not feel disturbed by noise. What was nice was leaving the curtain slightly (very slightly) open at night and it acted as a night light for getting up st night. Have a wonderful cruise with your family.

The Deluxe drink package for 4/22/2018 on the Allure of the Seas is now on sale for $43.00 per person, though both persons sailing together have to purchase it. I have posted this information on the roll call for thus sailing

Originally posted by dplusd We booked a last minute cruise at a great price for an inside guarantee. We were nervous as we had only sailed in balcony or junior suites. We were assigned an inside promenade room and it was just fine.
For our planned cruises I probably won't book a guarantee again since location is important to us. I like to be on a lower deck (deck 6 on Voyager and Freedom class) and close to the mid-ship elevators.
We had a promenade cabin on The Adventure of the Seas out of Puerto Rico a few years ago. We were concerned because prior to that cruise, ,we had always gotten a balcony. But having a window view to the promenade deck, kept us from feeling closed in. Just kept the curtain slightly open while we slept. Woud do it again if we needed to.

Same way in our case. After our 4/22/2018 cruise, we will have 78 points, needing just 2 points to become Diamond. Will just have to take a short cruise out of Florida where we live. Never thought we would get that close to a Diamond.

Booked the Allure for 4/22/2018 while on the 9/13/2017 shortened cruise on the Allure

Thank you so much for responding to my message. I just wanted to know if we were to receive any of the taxes back.
But since we did get back to South Florida after evacuating to go on the 4 night cruise, I see now that we would not get the taxes back---makes sense to me now. We did get back the $2.02 or so per person---didn't realize port charges were so cheap per person. We have already booked another cruise while aboard the 9/13/2017 cruise for 4/22/2018 and have already assigned the cruise to another agency to get extra perks and have had the future cruise credit applied--hopefully no chance of hurricane :D:D:D

Not sure how that works as we were to go to Labadee, Jamacai and Cozumel and only went to Nassau.

If not done so already, also post this on the roll call thread for that sailing
I did find the roll call for 9/10/2017 and some others who posted there are also wondering when the port charges and taxes will be refunded back.
-
Am I wrong to expect a refund on the port charges and taxes. I thought I read that they would come back to my credit card.
-
That is the same thing we received back also. But I thought we were to receive the whole amount
Of port charges and taxes back.. when I called they saiid they have no notice of giving that back. Still trying to find out. Thanks for responding.
-
Has anyone received the port fees and taxes back on their credit card yet from the shortened 9/13/2017 cruise on the Allure of the Seas

Actually the email states up to 20%. Originally I paid 118.00 for 2 excursions for the Cayman Islands as I did not want to,have to line up to,get tender tickets to get off the ship when we dock n the Cayman Islands, if I did not book a Celebrity excursion. With the discount, we paid $106.00. I guess any discount is better than none at all.

We were on a cruise 12/15/2019 and while on the cruise made another reservation at the Next Cruise Desk. After 2 days on our cruise we made Diamond. We were given the Emerald balcony discount at that time and were told to call as soon as our Diamond status showed up to call and have them apply the Diamond discount to our new reservation. There was no problem. It was accomplished over the phone and a new email of the reservation was sent to us.
