  1. We were on a cruise 12/15/2019 and while on the cruise made another reservation at the Next Cruise Desk.  After 2 days on our cruise we made  Diamond.  We were given the Emerald balcony discount at that time and were told to call as soon as our Diamond status showed up to call and  have them apply the Diamond discount to our new reservation.  There was no problem.  It was accomplished over the phone and a new email of the reservation was sent to us.

  2. My husband and I are leaving for our cruise on the Allure of the Seas 4/22/2018 in an Owners Suite. I emailed the concierge today at 12:23 PM and promptly received an answer at 5:20 PM from the concierge Nancy Chu letting us know she had done what we requested. So if you have a special request and are leaving in a week, try emailing them, iIt worked for us. On prior cruises in either an Owners Suite or Grand Suite, the concierge had emailed us 1 week before the cruise. I was just a little anxious about what I was requesting of her.

  3. My husband and I were in a Grand Suite 9/ 2017 and were able to make our reservations for Coastal Kitchen when we received our email from the Concierge on the Allure of The Seas one week before our sail date. It should be the same since Harmony is also an Oasis Class ship.

  4. The rudest thing that ever happened to my husband and I when we were on a shortened cruise due to Hurricane Irma on the Allure was when we were told by a Royal Caribbean worker at embarkation to go to the elevator and go on the ship since we were on a Suite. We got on the elevator with 2 ladies. One of the ladies looked at us and said “You just need to get off their s elevator and go and sit over there pointing to where a large group of people were sitting. I just looked at her and said excuse me. Mot husband said I don’t see a Royal Caribbean sign on you. She said I am a Travel Agent.

We thought it was very rude of her to assume that we should have not been allowed to board the ship the same time she was allowed to do so. We were stressed due to the a Hurricane and were not going to allow her rude attitude ruin our shortened cruise—-and it didn’t

  5. So sorry for all the tragedies you have been facing lately. Your good attitude that you are showing will help you as you go through your cancer. We have stayed in a promenade room on the Adventure of the Seas and did not feel disturbed by noise. What was nice was leaving the curtain slightly (very slightly) open at night and it acted as a night light for getting up st night. Have a wonderful cruise with your family.

  6. Originally posted by dplusd We booked a last minute cruise at a great price for an inside guarantee. We were nervous as we had only sailed in balcony or junior suites. We were assigned an inside promenade room and it was just fine.

For our planned cruises I probably won't book a guarantee again since location is important to us. I like to be on a lower deck (deck 6 on Voyager and Freedom class) and close to the mid-ship elevators.

We had a promenade cabin on The Adventure of the Seas out of Puerto Rico a few years ago. We were concerned because prior to that cruise, ,we had always gotten a balcony. But having a window view to the promenade deck, kept us from feeling closed in. Just kept the curtain slightly open while we slept. Woud do it again if we needed to.

  7. Thank you so much for responding to my message. I just wanted to know if we were to receive any of the taxes back.

But since we did get back to South Florida after evacuating to go on the 4 night cruise, I see now that we would not get the taxes back---makes sense to me now. We did get back the $2.02 or so per person---didn't realize port charges were so cheap per person. We have already booked another cruise while aboard the 9/13/2017 cruise for 4/22/2018 and have already assigned the cruise to another agency to get extra perks and have had the future cruise credit applied--hopefully no chance of hurricane :D:D:D

  8. Actually the email states up to 20%. Originally I paid 118.00 for 2 excursions for the Cayman Islands as I did not want to,have to line up to,get tender tickets to get off the ship when we dock n the Cayman Islands, if I did not book a Celebrity excursion. With the discount, we paid $106.00. I guess any discount is better than none at all.
