  1. Hello. We have a group of eight that will be stopping in Genoa for one day.  We would like to go to Portofino in the morning and return to Genoa for the afternoon.  Can anyone recommend the best way for all of us to travel together for this excursion?  I have been unsuccessful in finding a tour company. Are there taxis at the port that would be able to accommodate all of us? Or can anyone suggest a tour guide who might be able to help?  Thanks in advance!

  2. No, deck 9 is the deepest aft-facing deck. The orders is 9,12,15,14,11,10,13 from deepest to least deep. There are also differences in width depending on location within each deck.

The center aft-facing balcony is a wheelchair accessible stateroom. It is larger but should go to those who need HC.

The size and layout matches Escape even though the numbers may differ.

    Hi,

Does anyone know if the balcony partitions on the Joy, aft facing cabins 14920 and 14918 can be opened? Thanks!

  3. Good news! I called and got moved to deck 14 with two aft balconies with a 65 foot balcony and 57 foot balcony. I gave the larger balcony to my mom and my aunt (because I'm nice like that! :D) I like that we are now closer to the observation lounge and the garden café (?..the buffet) While we probably will eat our meals in the main or specialty dining rooms, we can run and get snacks and enjoy them on our balconies. I'm happy now!

    HI,

Sailing NCL Joy to Alaska in September 2019, also on aft facing balcony on deck 14. Do you have any comments that would be interesting or helpful? I am starved for information on this ship!

  4. Hi,

I searched and couldn't find any clues to this question - do the lounges / bars on the Coral Princess serve food? Do any of them have a "don't miss" item that we should be sure to try while we are on board in October? Thanks!

  5. Hahaha. Drinking two 375ml bottlers of vodka by two people on a ten day cruise is entirely inside the realm of possibility - very likely in fact.

Smuggling liquor on board isn't worth the trouble to me but this 2-for1 thing is something that I have been wondering about.

    Thanks for the responses.

  6. Hi,

We are planning to go zip lining with the shore excursion offered by the cruise line. That will be done at 12:30 which leaves us some time before we need to be back on the ship by 5:30. We would like to go see some of the other sites. Can anyone recommend the best way to do that? Can we just get a taxi at the terminal or should we try to set something up in advance? There will be 6 of us.

    Thanks!

  7. Hi. I am looking for information on the Sanctuary for a Coral Princess Panama canal cruise partial transit in October. Does anyone know how much it costs for the entire 10 days for a couple? I am looking for this well earned trip to be stress free for me and DH and am undecided if reserving space in the Sanctuary will help with the pool chair issue. On at sea days especially we will want to camp out near the pool but be able to walk away for a short time to enjoy other activities. It sounds like this is going to be nothing but trouble so maybe the Sanctuary is a solution if it is not too cost prohibited.

I would appreciate no lectures on why the pool chair thing is such a hot topic. I get it and am simply looking for information.

    Thanks.

  8. Thank you, everyone, for your responses!

Has anyone done the BVE? We might invite our niece and her husband to do it with us but have not heard much about the experience. There are six of us traveling together. Can we all pay our BVE fee and get on earlier or do they limit the number of people who can get on with the BVE guests?
