Yes, I take my sneakers. Getting my steps in while wearing sandals is not too comfortable, and some things specify “closed toe shoes.”

No longer have Netflix, so I guess I won’t be watching that one🙁.

Just finished watching the “Sheer” episode. (Recorded it since we spent last week on the Edge, a ship full of amazing designs.) The differences between the top two and the bottom two were HUGE! Not sure I agree with the judges’ decision, though either top one could have won, and both bottom ones deserved to go home. Had it not been specified to be an editorial look, I might have been shaking my head wondering “What are they thinking?”

Happy with this week’s winner, and I think his model was the real winner! You have to feel for some of those women, having to try to “sell” those looks on the runway!
-
I was wondering if there would be a thread about the new season. That was an interesting start! Some of the designers are quite promising, a few - not so much! No favorite yet😊

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered, but does anyone know what time lunch is available in Luminae on embarkation day?

We have enjoyed three cruises with Uniworld. No complaints, great serviceI was somewhat disappointed in our American Cruise Line experience. While the food was excellent and the staterooms spacious, organization was lacking. The staff seemed to be really trying, but communication from corporate was not adequate. (Beautiful scenery along the Columbia and Snake Rivers, but not a line I choose to repeat.)

Thank you. We have been to Alaska, so we’re familiar with layering . First time for Oregon and Idaho - looking forward to it!

Sorry, I should have been clearer. We will be going from Astoria all the way to Lewiston. Day prior in Portland, day after in Lewiston.
-
Hoping to get insight as to what kind of weather to expect in late June on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. I expect the cruise to be rather casual (American Pride), and that layers will be advisable. Suggestions are welcome!

Shoes are, admittedly, a weakness of mine! For ten days (Florida visit and 7 day cruise) I wore black wedges on the flight, packed two pair of dressy, high heeled sandals, two pair daytime sandals, plus Croc sandals (which double as slippers), gym shoes, and a pair of flats. And, yes, I am proud of myself for keeping it under ten pair! Of course, dear husband just wears one pair and packs his dress shoes. I get to use his “extra” space☺️.

Our granddaughter was comfortable in the tiny bedroom in a pack’n play. She had the space to herself, so the bunks remained folded against the wall.

Disappointed - metro Detroit seems to have been dropped from the list.

And what was that that Zanna was wearing?

But, please, refrain from occupying the table if others need it for their meal.;)

Some find the locations of the Concierge cabins more desirable.

I, too, still wear pantyhose - at least some of the time. I like skirts and dresses, and bare legs seem strange when it is freezing (literally) outside.

Have you posted this on your Roll Call?

I suggest you refer to the "sticky" at the top of the board. The spreadsheet holds a wealth of information.
-
jsf - You could have a soft drink, rather than a "drink" drink. I oftentimes choose that - I don't use a beverage package, so a "free" soda before dinner can be rather nice. (And then, not so thirsty, I can sip my wine more slowly at dinner.)
-
Amen! The CONSTANT references to making things "sexy" annoys me. I like to/want to look nice, but sometimes honestly do not understand what they mean by "that term." It is often difficult enough to find clothing that doesn't make me look like I have raided either my daughters' or grandmothers' closets!

Sure was a challenge for the designers! Entertaining, if nothing else, for the viewers.
Did anyone else find Heidi's outfit less than attractive? It seems that more and more I find her attire distressing - what chance do we "normal" folks have when a super-model looks like nothing fits properly (except the killer high heels)?
-
As I recall (and I have been wrong before), culottes were essentially wide leg long-ish shorts, while a skort looks like a skirt from the front but shorts from behind. I have also seen garments more like tennis/golf skirts, skirts with attached shorts underneath.
In any case, I was glad they gave the female server pockets. I wish pockets were more frequently included in ladies' garments. Note: Just ordered bridesmaids' dresses with pockets!
-
I, too, crave pockets! Chronic sinusitis (a Midwestern curse) makes carrying a tissue vital.
My real question about this episode - what was it with the skirt(?) Joanna was wearing? It almost looked like the darts at the waistline had exploded open! I found that treatment (especially in black and white) to be unflattering and distracting. But then, I am suppose that I am not a fashion-plate myself. And $400-500 for a non-extra-special occasion dress is not something I would even consider!
Happy New Year!

Quite an impressive finale. Pleased with the judges’ choice.
I won’t say more now in case someone has not yet seen the last episode.
