I'm doing my very first MSC cruise, on Divina, and we're in the YC. We're Pinnacle on RC so we've cruised a lot. My question is how does one tip aboard? We've multiple butlers taking care of us, but one main one assigned to us. We also have multiple waiters in the restaurant and all are great. A fantastic maitre'd too.How do you tip them all? Individually? Separately? As a group? Thanks for your advice.

I love Royal’s “broadway” shows. The ice shows in particular are fantastic as well as the Aqua shows.
I agree; their broadway shows and Ice shows are amazing 😊

Interesting variety of viewpoints. Thanks all for responding.

My beds were separated on a recent cruise and when the room steward introduced himself, it was as simple as asking him to move them together. Went to dinner and upon return to our cabin, it was changed. 😉

I like peanut butter on a toasted bagel occasionally and have never had an issue. I see trays of white bread and whole wheat there also but never had them myself. I've seen jelly too so as someone stated, speak to a manager in Windjammer and you should be set to go. Happy sailing.

Recently, I did Wonder OTS and a Celebrity Reflection cruise both this month, 03/2024. I was amazed at the different variety of acts on Celebrity, namely "The Boy Band Project" (of which I was truly never a fan) and "Leslie McDonel" who belted out powerful women's rock band ballads. However, while on RC, I get bored with the same old magicians and comedians. The production shows by the singers and dancers were both fantastic and I'm not addressing them; just the "other" acts presented. Does anyone feel that RC needs to update it's lineup?

Remarkable ship, great vacation. My wife and I celebrated forty-one years of marriage and seven months post-cancer surgery for me. Every minute was worth it.

Alright, so I just watched the presentation about the new PUP but didn't see any questions to answer afterwards; did I miss something? 🤔

That was my first cruise. ignore Horizon was my first celebrity cruise.
It was my first experience on a cruise ship too. Loved it and certainly do miss it but the memories will be with me forever. 😎🙏🥰

Any updates to this question regarding the Pinnacle Lounge location? This is my "free" Pinnacle cruise and as I get up super early, I just want to get some coffee. Not a drinker at all so the lounge in the evening doesn't interest me. Thanks for any updates.

On the independence right now, and it still has the nice lockerrooms with steam and sauna - single sex.
Since I'm from Denmark, I'm always naked in a sauna BUT sitting on a towel, so nothing is left behind (thinking about the post about a "racing stripe"). I was however the only one. ALL Americans have at least trunks, but many also t-shirts and even socks and shoes.
Fine with me, I don't care.

Just off Indy yesterday and yes, it is still there and working great.

The coffee machine in the suite lounge has always worked.
Not for me tbh. Granted it was sometimes the machine but more-so, there were no coffee beans (not filled the previous night), out of milk (again not filled at night and not replaced until 7am) or it was in "cleaning mode" which sometimes started at 6:30 am. Very frustrating.

I’m sure it would be amazing to see the Northern Lights
We just finished up an Arctic Cruise on RC Jewel and we did a Northern Lights excursion through Viator. Amazing!!! We met up at 10pm outside the ship (we had an overnight) and maybe 30 of us took vans to different areas to view the lights. Back on-board at around 2am but well worth it.

RC does not tend to advertise what happens in a drydock.
I see that; thanks.

I'll be taking the TA Adventure OTS 12 night sailing from Port Canaveral to Lisbon, Portugal on 10/25/2024. It will then be undergoing a 3 week refurbishment and resume her sailing, which I am on too, with another TA from Barcelona, Spain on 11/24/2024 13 night sailing back to Port Canaveral, Florida.
My question is where can I find out what the "actual refurbishment" will consist of? I'm assuming carpeting, mattress replacements, deep cleanings etc but can they do major construction in that short amount of time; say cutting the ship in half and adding staterooms or removing the sauna and steam rooms and adding inside cabins? Adding a restaurant and deleting others? I just can't seem to find out anything on Royal's site. Thank you in advance.

You have to click on "Reserve" and when the page refreshes it gives you the days and times.
Many thanks. 😎🙏

Free bag is wash and fold only. However as Elite you do get 2 items pressed for free and 1 item dry cleaned.
Was just off the Edge from Rome to Dubai and yes, we got a bag of laundry and pressed items. Problem was, and I kid you not, it took 4 days to get it back. They picked it up on a Monday, before 9am as suggested, and we didn't get it until late Thursday afternoon around 5pm. No explanation. I was not happy!!!!!

I just checked the Cruise Planner online for my Adventure cruise this September, and both Chops and Giovanni's are open on embarkation day for lunch.
I find the Cruise Planner to be easier to work with. Select the lunch option, and it shows you all the days lunch is available and what specialty restaurants are open.
I see the restaurants but they're not giving me times for my upcoming Adventure OTS sailing in 5 days this coming Friday. Where did you find this?????? Thanks.

I just checked my September Explorer cruise and Chops is available for lunch on embarkation day. Maybe it's just Jewel?
I did the Arctic Circle cruise on Jewel this past October and we had the UDP. No Chops for lunch on embarkation day. Was quite disappointed in that.

We sailed on Adventure in June 2022 and I agree with PP's that she is in fine shape for her age and constant use. If you are LOOKING for wear and tear you will find it, but that's also the same in anything, if you want to see it then you will. A ship that age will show some signs of love but she's lovely and I would sail her again in a heartbeat.
Nicely put; I agree. I'm not going to sweat the small stuff; lord knows I'm not 100% anymore LOL.

Adventure is scheduled to go to Cadiz for maintenance in late October 2024, and will return to service the first week in December. We are booked on her first cruise after she comes back on 12/7/24.
We are booked for the 10/25/2024 cruise from Port Canaveral to Lisbon, Portugal and then again for the return voyage on 11/24/2024 from Barcelona, Spain back to Port Canaveral. 3 weeks to get into trouble in Europe 😂!!! It will be interesting to compare and see what's been taken care of and what hasn't. I'll try and keep you posted.

Many thanks everyone. Your comments are very helpful. Some of the staff, of course, gave more individualized services and will benefit accordingly.
