  1. NCL is offering OBC for balconies & above on many cruises 5 plus days in length. We were able to have $100 OBC added to our Sept 30, 2018 Bliss 5 day Pacific Coastal cruise. There was no change in our cruise fare.

OBC amounts are $100 for balcony, $140 for mini suite, $300 to $500 for suites/haven.

I just saw the add for the OBC and called and was given the $100 also! We are on for the Alaskan Cruise over the 4th of July 2018! We have another cruise planned on the HOTS in September but I think the hubby and I are more excited for this this cruise! We are in AFT cabin on 10. It is for this 60th bday!

  2. Bob - I really appreciate your knowledge and the time you take to respond. You get right to the point. I just did not have the time to sit on hold with the cruise line. I know when I get ready to make my changes I will have to contact them, but in the mean time it is nice to have the information. I think it helps to sound knowledgeable when making the call as well. Thanks again! :)

  3. My hubby and I have scheduled a cruise for next year in September. We now find that we cannot go. Is there a limit as to how many times or for how long I can push back the reservation? Right now I have to schedule something for 2018. In 2018 can I push out another two years?

  4. Were you guys able to make use of UBP in District Brewery and The Cellars A Michael Mondavi Family Wine Bar ? I was on the Gateway in May and from what I remember the UBP covered drinks up to 11.50 just curious if NCl is trying to eliminate these 2 places from UBP

We walked by the wine bar many, many times and there was rarely anyone there. The District also did not seem very busy except on Thanksgiving when all the games were on. Now I was not there late in the evening and it may have been busier. It could be a very loud place, however it was a great place to watch the sail away. It would seem strange to think they would charge for places that are not in high demand. If a family came in because the parents wanted a beer they were told very quickly that no one under a certain age was allowed to stay.

  5. Just got off the Escape! It was a wonderful cruise. Did not attempt to go to Margaritaville... it is just food, IMO. Although the wings at O'Sheehan's were incredible! The entertainment was fantastic! The ports were good, although that is not why we picked this ship. We wanted to go on the newest ship. We always get a balcony. We were in 11214. Originally we were on the deck 9 and then realized it was above many entertainment venues! So glad we changed! Deck 11 is so quiet! The room is more than large enough. The bed is near the balcony. The bathrooms are fairly roomy and the shower was wonderful!

We loved walking around the Waterfront on deck 8! It was very relaxing. The way the Garden Cafe is designed is genius! The food area is all in the center and the seating all around with lots of window seating! Also genius is having a bar located in the cafe for quick access to a cocktail!

All this being said, we enjoyed sailing on the Allure so much more and will probably stick with RCCL. It will really depend on the itinerary.

For everyone still preparing to cruise... Enjoy! I feel so blessed to be able cruise! Cannot wait until the next on!

  6. Will there be taxis sitting outside the cruise terminal waiting to take passengers to the airport and specifically to FLL? We do the self-disembarking and are usually off the ship and through customs very quickly. I would prefer not to schedule a service. Also, does anyone know about how much it will cost for a taxi from the port to FLL?

Thanks for any and all info.
