Amazing performance!
But I guess as they ‘matured’ so did their concerts.
Songs still brilliant but have changed over the years. My late, darling Jeff, said to me more than once, ‘what, you want to see them again?’ Answer was always, yes!!
Never tire of listening to them x

Lirio, yes, you can definitely get Tims Tams in NZ.
Enjoy, Karin
(You might find this interesting.)
‘How do Aussies eat Tim Tams?“Do Australians eat Tim Tams with coffee or tea?” You can eat them with either. However, if you want to bite the ends off and suck your drink up through the biscuit, it does taste a lot better with coffee than with tea.’- 3

Lola - Wow, I could have written your words too, thanks for the encouragement.
I leave the corked bottles for when I know someone is visiting too. Also understand what you’re saying about waking. Thanks again.
Daveywavey - my husband loved T M Lewin and Harvie and Hudson. Hope you find what you want. Is there a special occasion coming up?
Best wishes, Karin

Hi all
My turn to twitter on now, hope you don’t mind Lola 😀
I lost my husband in April this year and he did ALL the cooking, so I too am having to learn a few things:
1. How to cook.
2. How much (or little) food you need for one - not the whole pack of pasta or meat.
3. How to use our fancy steam oven.
4. How to put the lid on the bottle of wine so I don’t drink the lot in one night.
I don’t post often but drop by everyday to catch up on the gossip. Thanks everyone for providing a great place to visit.
I have booked a cruise next May, so very excited about that. Taking my daughter on her first SS cruise for her 30th.
Take care, Karin- 7

Thanks to everyone who's replied - I do keep checking back to read your messages.

Have used a TA in America before (when the exchange rate was good) and they were cheaper, offered OBC and sent us a cheque when we returned home. Was very good service but with the economy as it is at the moment, it’s no longer an option.

Thanks for the advice Les. I called Silversea Sydney today (waiting for a call back), hoping that actually talking to someone rather than an online quote, might be a bit better.

Hi Stickman, I was referring my daughter - I’ve sailed with Silversea many times but she hasn’t. Makes sense that we share a twin room but unless she has her own room we don’t get the ‘referral’. So annoying.
Jennifer, nice to hear from you, been a long time. Hoping we Aussies might get a bit of advice.

Hope someone can assist (I realise we’re not allowed to mention names but any assistance would be appreciated).
Would like to book a cruise but when I request a ‘quote’ online, from Silversea, I get the price that is advertised - no incentive, OBC, nothing, just the price online. I’ve had a quote from a company in the US, good cash back after travel but with the exchange rate (no-one’s fault), not worth doing.
I’ve read so many people say their TA gives all kinds of OBC and perks. Any ideas how we can get a better deal. Travelling with my daughter who hasn’t sailed before but told because she is in my room the ‘referral’ bonus doesn’t apply.
Hope all this makes sense, thanks, Karin- 1

Jeff (hopefully you’re still here), lovely to see you pop in. Stay safe.
Thanks to Mr Tiramisu for echoing what I’m sure we all feel.
Dinner looks yum as always JP. I think we’re having Beef Wellington tonight. I don’t cook but my Jeff does 😁 (I’m more than happy to watch from my side of the breakfast bar with a glass of red.)
Best wishes all, Karin- 2

Slightly off-topic, sorry, but I sailed on the Celestyal Olympia in 2019 out of Athens. My daughter was working in Greece and was escorting a tour group onboard so we decided to give it a go. Nothing like Silversea but absolutely nothing wrong with the trip. Food was fine, alcohol included, cabins were a clean place to sleep and shower which was all we needed on the port intensive 'cruise'. Would definitely recommend for a quick, cheap trip around some Greek Islands.

Silversea Shenanigans Onboard Silver Muse

Only been a couple of weeks and already seen lots of posts about status, especially those who have never sailed Silversea but apparently have ‘250+ days’ expecting special treatment. Please spare a thought to those who have only ever travelled Silversea and trying to get to the magic 100. Definitely not fair to loyal Silversea folks.
