  1. They also had the trivia in the atrium bar, but I agree a lounge would have been much more enjoyable. Brittany was awesome! I enjoyed the motion ;p;p;) My husband was at the piano bar most nights (actually found Sam on FB). We rented Gulf Carts from Wet Money on Grand Turk... it ran out of gas and the owner gave us attitude when he came to bring gas "you could have pushed it"! Oh well, all in the adventure right! I would sail her again... just would like hotter weather.

  2. As for the baked alaska, we just got off the Victory and had it. It has changed since the last time we had it back in 2015. Much improved! Did they say why it wasn't available?

I kept expecting it to show up 'tomorrow' and when the last night came and it wasn't there, things were busy and I forgot to ask.

  3. As for the lobster, I never tried ordering it off of the $20 menu but one of kids thought they heard a waiter say that the quality was not up to par so they would not be serving it. I cannot verify that for sure.... so I guess I really don't know. We never got the Baked Alaska either.

  4. Going on girls cruise in April! We are soooo excited! have purchased FTTF! Just wondering does something show up when you print your boarding documents? Doing the 5 night cruise! Im a little worried about motion sickness for everyone since this is a smaller ship, obviously we need to all take something! Also did you do the drink package are they very strict about the number of drinks?

FTTF will show on your boarding pass. We took Meklazine for the motion and it worked fine (even with excessive motion). They were very strict with the drink package. Some people were frustrated because they had recently sailed other Carnival ships and were allowed to purchase drinks outside of the drink package before hitting the 15 drink limit to ensure that they would not get cut off... The bar tender said "not on this ship" and they were firm.

  5. Do you know what caused the delayed boarding? Just wondered if you were notified in advance.

No Even the shuttle driver from the parking to the pier was frustrated. He said that he had never seen this happen in the past (at least that long). They never officially addressed it.

  6. Did you enjoy the cruise overall? Why no lobster on your 7 day cruise? I thought lobster was served on 1st elegant night on cruises longer than 5 days.

Yes we did enjoy it. The lobster was only listed on the extra $20 menu. They never gave a reason why, but we did have 2 formal nights so that was a bit of a disappointment.

  7. In a basic review... our service was excellent, the food was standard fare (no lobster for our 7 day cruise), the motion was far above usual, most entertainment was very good in (especially the comedy club and the piano bar), we tried 2 of the 'shows' and walked out of both (first time ever)! We had FTTF and it was well worth it after delayed boarding caused sizable lines. Any questions... I would be happy to answer what I can... have fun on your next sailing...

  8. We just got off the Ecstasy and had to use the infirmary that morning while guests were leaving.... without them we would not have been able to travel. They did an excellent job stopping the vicious cycle of a bad stomach reaction (vomiting and diarrhea). Have not seen a bill yet!

  10. So we are sailing out of Charleston Saturday and it looks like the South East Atlantic Coast is in for some rough seas. With waves predicted from 15-25 ft. what kind of motion are we to expect on the Ecstasy? We sailed through a hurricane years ago on RCCL Enchantment, but I cannot remember what the wave heights were....

  11. We leave Saturday!!! I have a couple of first time cruisers with us and was wondering how the motion was along the Atlantic coast? I plan to give them motion pills just in case! With the deck chairs... what time would I have to be on deck to get a couple? How were the lines in on the Lido for food? Other than early access to the room... where else did you see the FTTF as a benefit (we have it too)! I am so excited.. thanks for clarifying the laundry... I will bring change. Was the laundry always busy? and MOST IMPORTANT... where are the ice cream machines (please say they are open 24/7) LOL!

  12. Musters are done just prior to sailing, the location will depend on where your stateroom is. It will be on your Sign and Sail card. You won't need to take a life jacket to the meeting lounge before all go outside to the assigned area. During the prime time hours, you'll find lots of different activities in the forward stage room. This room is designed very nicely. The seats aren't jammed together and you can have a great time here.

    Thanks!

  13. I have never been disappointed with the service on Carnival. That being said, My kids receive the same service as I do and therefore should reward it at the same rate. If the service is adequate I tip the guideline for each person (especially at the dining room where they are taking up a seat in that staffs area that would represent a full tip if deserved). If the service were sub-par I would look to remedy it, and if it did not rise to what I considered standard I would lower the rate. If the service is above and beyond, I try to reward that with additional cash. I consider the service part of my vacation from daily responsibility and budget to ensure that I can make sure they know I appreciate it.
