  1. We had a great experience at the Beach Club in November. At your loungers, there is a flag you can put up if you need drinks. We did that once, the first time we needed new drinks. Each time after that, when our drinks were half-full a server would walk up and ask if we needed a new drink, and we both said yes. Then, before our fresh drinks would arrive, another server would appear to see if we needed a new drink. So, the moral of the story is, you will never have an empty drink!

For your own sake, make sure you educate yourself with what RCI will do in the case where there's an outbreak on your ship. Do they have plans in place to be able to dock the ship quickly if there are sick people on board? What guarantees do they have that will allow you to get off the ship ASAP if you're sick or even if you're well. Also, what have they put in place to ensure someone doesn't get on the ship with it or doesn't pick it up in a non-US port and bring it on the ship? What guarantees can they give you to ensure their crew doesn't have it? What are they going to do if you show up with a harmless cold and they deny you boarding?

My cruising days and flying days are over until there is a vaccine. This virus is just too virulent and easily spread to ignore and the last thing I want to happen to me or a loved one is to see them float around the ocean with 30% of the ship sick, begging for help.

Have a safe cruise if you do manage to go.

I feel very safe that Royal will have plans in place. Cruise lines have always been held to a higher standard with illness outbreaks. You don't see hotels and restaurants reporting when there is an illness outbreak at their facility, only cruise lines do. The ships will probably have better cleaning practices now than they ever have.

I am a frontliner in a hospital now, and both my husband and I feel very safe sailing in November.

  3. On our Equinox sailing in Feb. 2014, I enjoyed Sin City comedy multiple times. The show may have been nearly the same, but it was fun, because the audience was different. I think the comedian/comedienne made small changes, based on the audience.

  4. Was on Equinox this past Feb/March, Sin City Comedy has taken over the nighttime comedy shows in Celebrity Central. The same show was repeated (mostly the same material) multiple (I think 5 times in 10 nights). I ended up seeing the show 3 times! I could not get enough if it. There was the opening act, the headliner and a mini burlesque show between each act. The shows were all full, and by the last one, it was standing room only! Very good choice Celebrity! I hope they keep this too, though depending on the crowd I could see it being modified.

I would be remiss if I did not include a zoom in of the Beautiful Celebrity Equinox. Do you notice how I keep repeating "Beautiful Celebrity Equinox"? Our captain back in 2010 would always start his daily announcement with that from the "Navigation Bridge". Wish you could also hear me because I am also doing that with my best Greek accent.

I too imagine that being said with a Greek accent. We were on the last 10 day Ultimate Caribbean Sailing. Our second time doing this route on the Equinox. Absolutely fantastic ship and crew, and a beautiful set of islands! I also believe that Captain Michael was the Captain back in 2012 when we did this route.

  6. We are currently sailing onboard Equinox right now. We are in a Sky Suite, and were able to board and wait in Michael's club. As far as I know this was for Suite guests and any Zenith members. They were serving some little bites and sweets there as well. We were escorted to our suite by a butler at about 12:30- 1 hour before other rooms were ready.
