  1. Now the water is in plant based carton type containers. They are 16.9 ounce. It has a funny smell,  but I think it is the container. The water tasted fine. When you order it is still in litters, so they just give you more containers. This was what we found on our sailing on the Epic 10 days on 1/16. I personally don’t think I will order the water again. We pre-ordered and it was in our cabin when we arrived.

  2. It would not be fun on a cruise with worry or anxiety about a vacation. Have been on 23 cruises and only a few were a bit rough and believe me, I did not like it. I hope all that decide to go have a safe and memorable trip to Port Canaveral & Bahamas. For those who cancelled or reschedule I hope you were able to book another amazing trip. My heart goes out to all that may be impacted by this hurricane. Our cruise is in 3 weeks. STAY SAFE!

  3. We had a family of door slammers next to us on the Getaway. Every they went in or out they slammed the door. There were 4 in the family and they always went 2 at a time. So annoying.

Oh my goodness, this was my biggest complaint on the Getaway with our neighbors. They constantly were in and out and just let their door slam.....would be nice if they quietly closed it just once.

  4. Sunday morning traffic is generally lighter than it is at other times, but you really need to check the traffic conditions on that morning. Listen to 880 WCBS and 1010 WINS for the information. I'm also cruising on 9/30 and I will be listening to those radio stations as I drive in from central NJ .

Coming from Secaucus you can easily use the George Washington Bridge as an alternate route into Manhattan if traffic is jammed into the Lincoln Tunnel.

Thank you for the information! We are sailing on the NCL Escape. I will definitely check the radio stations in the morning!

  5. We have stayed at the Holiday Inn on Biscayne Blvd across from the Bayside Marketplace which has many restaurants and shopping. Also, we have stayed at the Hampton inn downtown/brickell, which is also very nice, yet you have to go up to 5th floor from street to enter lobby. Many downtown restaurants in walking distance. We loved both hotels.

  6. We bought the full masks as did many in our group and it seemed that many said they felt like they weren’t getting enough airflow as a regular snorkel/mask. I was sick so didn’t snorkel but watched. We are selling our full masks because my husband felt he couldn’t breathe in it and is an avid snorkeler. He actually panicked and was brought back to boat, as did a few others, so I recommend the mask\snorkel tube and not the full. Just my observation.

  7. Sailed on the Getaway on January 17th and the cost was $99 per person, not sure what the cost of cabana is now, but the price was increased. My husband and I felt that it was worth it for some quiet relaxing time with no crowds and both agreed that we would do it again. No wandering around looking for a chair and spent many times having a hot tub to ourselves. Just know that they close at 7pm so no evening hot tub.

  8. The flatbread was ordered each night for our table. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. My husband enjoyed the flat iron steak with the roasted 1/2 garlic clove. Stuffed mushrooms were yummy. Sorry that I didn't take any photos of the menus...just a few pictures of the meals.

  9. We just got off the Carnival Liberty and had a wonderful time with 10 of my family at a table. Just a few comments about the menu and dining. The 3 staff members that we had waiting on us worked very hard and probably have one of the hardest jobs. The dinner seemed to take us 2 hours each night, which was not their fault; but ours and the menu. There is a choice of appetizers for table. Each night we ordered at least 2 for the table, but then, each person seemed to order 1 or 2 appetizers. This seemed to take so long and by the time our entrée came I was too full. Also, you could pick sides, which came separately from the entrée plate; so there were many plates on the table.

I know that Carnival is trying to give the customer more options, but honestly we all seemed to order more than we could eat. This was the most I ate on a cruise and the longest I sat at a dining tables. The food was very good in my opinion. Kudos to our wait staff for putting up with us.

  10. We were just on the Liberty sailing the 8th. Great cruise. How disappointing that a staff member could not take the time to escort you back to the room. If you have time, I would write a letter to the CEO of Carnival informing them of how you were treated. Even though it was a mistake on your part, it is sad that they couldn't take time to get someone to escort you or at least act like they were concerned for you. When the industry forgets to give the customer great customer service, they will begin losing them . Carnival doesn't want to lose customers. Hope you get your belongings back.

  11. Even if a lifeguard was on duty, it is a parents responsibility to watch their children. My daughter was a lifeguard in our resort area and it is very difficult to watch ever person in the pool and pool area when it is crowded with people. She has saved many children due to carelessness of a parent with a toddler walking around and falling in. It is a lifeguards responsibility to keep the pool area as safe as possible, but not to watch each child. My heart goes out to this family. Regardless of fault, a child has lost their life. Very sad.

  12. Thanks so much picomullet. Just read the thread. Think we will stick with our plans to Maya Key. We want to enjoy the snorkeling and sounds like it is not readily available at Little French Key, unless we pay someone to take us out or canoe out. Looking forward to seeing Maya Key. This will be our 2nd time at Isla Roatan. Can't wait!:)

  13. Just noticed that French Key Private Island was added to our Excursion choices. I originally booked Maya Key. After reading and going on the websites I am confused. Are these islands next to each other and shared? Does anyone know if these are the same or different? Also, if they are different, which one is best for beach and snorkeling?
