My favorite ship! Thanks for the video. :D
-
sad!!!!! :(
Hoping it all comes back for you Carol!:D I won't fib but I was a little peeved with my $1,900 pp room, no chocolates... and did you know that they make you pay for the smoothies/parfaits on 10 in Solarium now? What in the world?! Why go Aqua class and you make AQ pay? I could see charging the others who are of different classes... Just sad!!!

Unfortunately there wasn't any music at sailaway... and the smoke drifted and made it a little uncomfortable for this non-smoker. Sad cruiser...:o

Recently returned, only port that required my photo id was St. Thomas. Have a great time!
-
Recently returned from Summit, it was the quietest sailaway ever of any X ship that I have been on. Our room was AFT 11th floor, no music was ever heard. And where are the turn-down chocolates? Sad...

Goat cheese souffle Murano. *faints*

Sherilyn,
I just wanted to add my prayers to the many others here.

Absolutely loved this ship, and your review of the chef's table and images raise my excitement more. Loved every bit of it... And the chef was a cutie!

Absolutely loved the review and the beautiful pictures. Chef Trevor is quite handsome as well
Thanks for taking the time to share your review.

Thank you, Marie! We're having a boy, I can't wait to meet him. DH is over the moon :D :)
Been away from the boards, but was thinking of you. Good to hear you are well and you're having a boy. Take care and happy holidays!

Thanks all, you're such an inspiration. I've been pulling out potential items all afternoon and looking for potential pre-cruise activities. I just cannot wait!

Thank you very much for your response and enjoy your vacation.

Oh sorry, leaving from Miami and going to the eastern Caribbean route, which I've been to in the summer, but never in the winter. Just need to know what type of weather to expect. Thanks!
eta lovestx - don't you just love the Equinox? Can't wait for my trip on the Reflection!

Hello all, I need help please.
I've been so pressed at work that I booked a last minute cruise to the Caribbean next month. You fashionista's always have great suggestion, so can you tell me what to expect for the temperatures, and do you wear white?
I'm coming from a colder climate and just want to make sure that I get it right. Thanks

I love Miss Me jeans, they fit me well even with my imperfection (wagon I'm draggin'). :D

Good Morning Ladies! I just love this thread. Been a little busy since DH and I got some wonderful news. We have a baby on the way!
Aw congrats Faith and hubby! I've missed you over the past few months. I love the dress you choose and wish you both well.

Excellent review... You're very pretty. Glad you had a great time.

Dinner was back at the winery building in the restaurant there called Cafe Elan. I LOVE my red Cache dress...and feel confident that it is EARTH red...like red...not rust and not brick. I wore my new Rockport sandals with the Adidas insole (highly recommend...I walked from the Inn to the Winery with no problems...I would like to get something to keep my foot from sliding too far forward though)...for jewelry...I'm wearing a pearl/rhinestone bracelet inherited from my Grandmother and diamond studs that DH gifted me with several years ago).
I did not try for fancy hair or makeup...I was very relaxed after the massage. ;) I showered at the spa...uses their fabulous products...and was SO HAPPY that I had made all my decisions early...I only wore a bit of eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. Here I am in the setting sun:
You can catch a bit of the ambiance of the restaurant in this photo...the color is a bit off though...you can see that my skin tone in general is not too golden when you compare it to the following photo of DH and myself. OH...we had the local Merlot with dinner. We had tasted it earlier and knew it was yummy.
Here you can the vine fields in the distance...and see why I said this dress looked like it was made to go dancing. I seriously look like I should go salsa dancing:
We spent the rest of the evening in our room enjoying champagne...
Love the look and color on you. It really brings out your beauty and you look younger as well.
Happy Anniversary to you and your husband.

The educational term for it is Retail Therapy......and I have my Master's in it.:D
I love this quote! :D

There's something about a flowy blue dress against the ocean and sky that speak... "great vacation". Very nice!

Smiley, you looked fab! Loved the hair and attire.

I love how you coordinate your casual wear and thanks for the information on the George label.
Carnival Victory Thoughts
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Just returned from the #Defeated #Victory; departed on 11/10 for the eastern Caribbean cruise. Upon arrival to my room 8248, port forward, I smelled sewer gas, and reported it to my steward and his helper. They were so nonchalant about it, and shrugged it away. Oh, let's also mention that the floor in my bathroom was sandy... I mean dirty. They NEVER mopped, never.
Anyway back to the issue of the smell. I went down to Guest Services, and they too were dismissive and said that they would have housekeeping to look into it. Never giving me a time, or plan of action. Only that they were busy with embarkation. I asked to be moved... nope.. again dismissed.
We were awakened at 5a with the smells when they flushed the bowels of the ship... why is that it that the poop comes out of the forward of the ship? And, why couldn't the staff smell it on the floors... it got worse in the common areas on 4 which is where the photo gallery is located, and one of the theaters.
This was the worst cruise that I have ever been on, and hated that I wasted my time and money. It's funny, I was on the Destiny before it went in, and almost hope that Victory can be updated, but I wouldn't take that ship if it was free.
If you choose to go, choose the starward side, aft... lol
