  1. Update on my previous point:

I decided to ring Crown and Anchor again and this time spoke to a lovely lady Maria who assured me that I will indeed get the double points as the offer is for all crown and anchor members(gold) and above who book before Sept 30 2021 for cruises taken between Jan 1 and Dec 31 2022. She also sent me an email with details.
Just goes to show it’s pot luck who you get and what answer you get!

  2. I just rang crown and anchor about the double points as wanted to add a third cruise so it will take us to diamond for our cruise in Nov 2022. I was told that the double points is only for cruises up to end of Sept 2022!  I told the crown and anchor person, Lucas, that it had been extended to Dec 31 but he insisted that that was wrong and it was still Sept.  On further investigation by myself it show on Royal’s website for USA that it has been extended to Dec but on UK version it still showing Sept.  I think this is unfair to loyal customers from outside USA. Do you think this is a mistake and it will be changed.  If not, how do I complain about this.

  3. We were on Meraviglia inaugural cruise in Med but in a balcony cabin as Yacht Club was full. Looking forward to hearing your views on this ship and I’m sure you wouldn’t have experienced the dining problems we had! We decided not to cruise MSC again unless we could get the Yacht Club. We had a brilliant cruise on Preziosa in Yacht Club which we booked after reading your previous review.

  4. Use the airport bus to piazza le Roma and then people mover to port all for €9.50 in total - ship wanted $55! To see St. marks, Murano etc get an all day Vaporetto ticket for €20. Again from ship take people mover (€1.50) to piazza le Roma where you can get any vaporetto

  6. Drewliin ... The info on prices came from Stuart at MSC UK.

Thanks as know Stuart. Also found a UK ta who has it listed too but the dates are too late for us which is a shame as this ship is going to be amazing. Thanks for your help.

  7. I was able to get the answer to my original question within seconds of asking at the YC concierge desk last week. Essentially I was bumped because they gave my original cabin to another family MSC decided to upgrade to a YC cabin (without the amenities). They do this when the YC is not fully booked and want to see if they can entice these folks to go YC in the future. They did it to us in April of 2014 and it worked. We were upgraded on our second cruise with MSC and have booked YC ever since. I can't imagine why the office in Munich didn't know of this practice or, if they knew of it, offer it as a possible explanation.

Anyway...last week's cruise was fantastic and we had a very good time. Service was the best yet.

When you said that you were upgraded to YC without the amenities, what does this mean? No drinks included, mini bar or access to YC lounge, pool? Just curious.
