My parents are taking our family on a cruise to the Western Caribbean this fall, and as a thank you, I'd like to prepare a cruise-themed gift bag. My parents are the relaxing on the balcony, trivia playing, slot-machine types. As for excursions, I think it will be spent at the beach...EXCEPT for the Regatta Race we have scheduled in Cozumel.

Any ideas on what I could include? Thanks!

I'm 25 and I have a really REALLY hard time using the Diamond C&A coupons. I can't imagine the reactions the 8 year old gets, walking into Johnny Rockets with a Diamond + coupon.

How many people were in your party total? Good to know that you tried. I'm Diamond and we're sailing with a couple who have never sailed before, and the check in process can be kind of overwhelming. It would be nice to use my Diamond perk, but tag them along as well. I'm figuring if I use the whole "just act like we all belong in this line" tactic, that it'll work.

Was there a Diamond gift in your stateroom when you arrived?

I booked room 6524 (D3 catagory) which is towards the front of the ship, port side. The reason I did this is that there are no lifeboats underneath, so you get a straight view down from your balcony to the sea. I haven't sailed yet...so I'll have to see just how great this 'masterplan' works out.

I ran into my ninth grade English teacher on the Rhapsody. This would've been a pleasant and harmless encounter, if she weren't extremely frightening, intimidating, and rude!

She cornered me in the bathroom outside the Schooner Bar to ask why I had given her a bad teacher evaluation. When I said that I thought that they were confidential and anonymous, she replied, "Give me a break! I can recognize your clausal syntax anywhere!"

She was awful. But not as awful as my parents were about her to the School Board the next Fall.....
